Default Blade with Character

Just finished this one out of a very old circular saw blade. I left the character of the saw on the knife blade. Not everyone's cup of tea but I like the rustic look. Ebony scales with stainless pins and sleeve.

Thumbs up NO DOUBT YOU HAVE SKILLS.

FOR ME, a knife is a tool & the owner is the one with character. Sure I can appreciate a fine knife, but am not willing to spend more on a knife than a gun that I very well may lose. (and have more than once) I just retrieved my neck knife after going thru the garbage can the other nite. I'm more fond of that handle than the blade. Fancy Damascus steel type stuff doesn't do much for me. Good strong quality steel that is easy enough to get & stay sharp does impress me. For custom knife $ I wouldn't want one that looks pitted, sorry just not MY cup of tea, maybe it's the pic. A guy that makes such a nice mini (I like that one better) has some character.

Mini's seem to sell for as much as full size blades. I nibbled at a pair at gun shows for over a year. Finally the vendor got tired of me looking and made me a great deal. They're still on display in the china cabinet. Its probably been 15 or so years. I had a deal worked out once to trade them to another friend/knife vendor. My wife wouldn't let me out of the house with them. She likes them. I think the builder was a guy named Mike Mercer. He used to win best at show for a long time.

Thank guys. The miniatures are a lot of fun but surprisingly still take a lot of work. I made this chopper yesterday. I also made a leather sheath for the little edc

Are you sure you don't do trick photography? The little chopper gives new meaning to concealed. If I didn't have my glasses on I would have a hard time finding it.

Nice work!!

Thanks for the feedback guys. Here is one that started out as a forged blade. The forged shape didn't do it for me so I did some grinding and this is the finished knife. The scales are Che Chen. I didn't know what it was until I looked it up. It's also known as Mexican poison wood.
