Only one I have is a Smith 29-2. I cut the barrel to 4.5" from 8 3/8" because of a ring in it when I got it (and partly because I just wanted to).

I should have polished this up before taking the photo but you get the idea. It's a 629-2 with the 8 3/8" barrel, full underlug and unfluted cylinder.

I have a couple of 44 mags on hand at the moment and a few in other states (with family). Regretfully I only had one 44 Special in my life, and it was a Colt SAA that shot so far from point of aim that I sold it.
629 no dash, and 29-2.

I own a number of 44 mag revolvers, but here is one you don't see too often, a USFA 44 special with a spare 44/40 cylinder. Shoots as good as it looks.

Seems like everybody and his brother wants a .44 magnum, and so there are a LOT of the maggies out there. For my purposes, the .44 special does just fine, easier on the hand, and loadable to near .44 mag specs if you really want to.
These are not found on every street corner. These .44 special Model 24-3 revolvers were part of a special run in 1983 and 1984. 2,625 had 4" barrels, and 4,874 were equipped with 6.5" barrels.
And this .44 special Model 624 with a 3" barrel was in a special run for Lew Horton distributors.

Some of my .44's. In no particular order
696
.44 HE, Second Model
Model 29-2 NC Highway Patrol Commemorative
Model 629-6 Camfour Fixed Sight
Unfortunately the recent Photobucket debacle caused me to lose many of my photos. I guess I'll have to set up the light box soon.

No Smiths but a hungry family of Rugers to keep fed.
I hate Photo bucket. Time to learn about a new hosting site.

Only have one .44 now. Moved out of Alaska and sold my 29-2, 629-"something special", (?), and my Redhawk. Really only miss the 29. I kept the Custom Bellm .44 mag. barrel because Mike sent it to me, with many others, after he divorced P.O. Ackleys daughter. He owed me a custom 375 Epstein that I paid ahead for, and since he couldn't complete it, I got a bunch of really cool stuff.

I've posted this Pre-29 5 screw many times on this forum. Shipped in 1956 with a 6.5" barrel, the was returned to the factory to have the then new
8 3/8" barrel installed. The factory returned it to the owner in this pretty rare silk liked mahogany box.
I also have a Model 29-2 with a 6.5" barrel in a nickel finish, but don't seem to have a picture of that one.

Here are a couple of classic Rugers - An old model Super Blackhawk, and Ruger's first .44 mag, a "flat top" with factory stag grips:
...and of course, THE classic .44 magnum, the "Dirty Harry" Model 29:
