Smart fella...............22s are gonna be a dime a dozen soon as lots of people are either going 9mm or .45 when Depts upgrade/replace and that Ruger Speed series has been out of production for appx 30 years.

Yep, 2/34" and VG condition.

It's an earlier one with the solid recoil shield.

They're already a dime a dozen. I paid just $315 for it + 3 mags. I did upgrade the sights to Dawson Precision (about $90) but definitely got the better of the deal.

I'd run about 600 rounds through the Glock, enough to know plastic bottom feeders ain't for me.

Good job! I have no poly guns left myself. At the March gun show, I turned a XDM, 9 competition into a 686-6, 5" Pro-Series. Did have to add some cash. I really like it much better. I added these stocks. Bob

While I agree the trade was great value wise and I would have made it myself, I would rather carry the Glock 22 any day of the week

I prefer a Glock 23, but I'm with you. And they're not plastic, it's polymer. Yes, it does make a difference . . . have you ever seen someone look at a stainless steel revolver and ask if it's chrome plated?

When our agency transitioned from the thirty eight to the Glock I has greatful for the light weight of this weapon. When you have to carry it on your hip for 10 to 12 hours it's a real benefit.

Ok, ok, they're polymer.

I'm sure polymer-framed autos have their place. I just found after 1k rounds sent downrange the Glock 22 isn't for me.

Great trade. I had one years ago and carried it when in plain clothes details years ago. I would still prefer The G22. I still have my Gen 2 Glock G22 and will keep it. One of my favorite pistols..

Even different caliber.

How so "brick"? Thinner than most semi autos.

I believe the nickname "brick" come from the flat squarish dimensions, not necessary the thickness. But I'm a fan of the bricks
