Default Buck 345 knife made in the USA

I received a Buck folding knife today from Amazon, gave $26.00 for it. Not a "normal" knife for me, but a friend of mine has one, and I was impressed. The blade is supposed to be 400 series stainless, and it would shave just a little when I took it out of the box. I touched it up a tad and now it will shave with ease.

Anyone have experience with these? All of my other Bucks are 35-40 years old.

Have a blessed day.

I have several versions of the 345 and larger 347 Buck Vantage. I like them a lot. The Vantage series comes in several models with different blade and handle materials. My new favorite Buck knife is the 722 Spitfire. You have a pretty nice little pocket knife there Buck 345 knife made in the USA

I have several made in the USA Buck knives all of newer vintage made in the last 5 years and they all have been flawless. I have the Vantage and it a real good knife. Off the top of my head I don't know the models of them all but all I buy is Made in USA knifes and bucks still have quite a few made in the USA at reasonable prices.

I probably have 10 or so Bucks maybe more.

My newer Bucks are easier to sharpen than my old ones. I like the traditional Buck Knives.

If you like the 722 check out this version in S90v steel.

The 345 is 420HC which is a steel Buck heat treats quite well. I've got a half dozen Vantage models and find them to be a great value.

Yes I saw that one. I have one in S30v, S35VN and 420HC but not S90V yet. $100 is a bit much for a 722Buck 345 knife made in the USA

I'd appreciate it a lot more with an uncoated blade. I don't like coatings.

It is a bit up there for that model but it's more a collector piece in a way given the blade steel and limited run. I've got another model with laminated S90v and it's great. Not sure if this full S90v would perform that much better but it might. I'm still debating on getting one or not.
