Rock Island revolver
This thing is for sale locally. It's a Rock Island .38. Couple of reviews aren't bad. For $275 bucks I'm thinking a glove box gun for my Jeep for hunting season ( I don't want any of my S&W's
bouncing around the Jeep). Anybody ever had any experience with one ??

I've seen the snub versions at gun shows. A bit rough looking but for the price sure beats a thumb in the eye.

A couple years ago they could be bought for $200, price increase might reflect sales. My LGS usually has a 206(snub) in stock, he sells them without a problem.

Yes. I have a Model 206 and have no problems with it. Not as smooth as a Smith but still a good shooter and seems sound. I have 152 rounds downrange with it.
I bought it new for $239 at a gun show back in Oct 2015. I love the finish. cleans up easily.

If the revolver is as good as their pistols it should be fine.
Where are you going to get lucky and find a beater Model 10 for that price?

Some states have melt down laws and this one might not pass.

I've got one and really like mine. Surprisingly good trigger. Bought mine at Buds, they currently have them listed for $230.00
(makes an excellent truck gun )

The snubbies (above) are beginning to be seen again at gun shows at around the same price. I very nearly bought a new one several years ago for, I think, $175. I'd say it's a pretty good deal for use as a utility shooter. I have never fired one, but some of the reviews I have read are not bad.

Funny I just found a beater model 10 yesturday here in florida priced at $250 could probably get it for $200. I'm involved already with a gun purchase there so I passed. A little pitting no rust been shot a lot. Pm me if anybody is in sw florida interested. I would personally prefer the new rock island over it as they make a solid gun.
