Kimber BBQ Result
Joint project with my son Steve -- He bought this Kimber .45 with a distressed finish on the slide, then with a powder coat plus oven baking time got the gold finish --
Now with my DIY work on buffalo bone grips ---->

Cool! Looks like a junior cartel gun, like maybe for a neighborhood manager/sergeant/whatever they might call that kind of rank. Or maybe a first gun for the jefe's kid.

I like that little Kimber! Good job on the bones.
A little splash of gold ain't a bad thing.

Update: At least 40 caliber (unless a Python or Registered Magnum), no synthetics, no factory engraving. Extra points if boots and hat band match gun belt (tooled of course, not stamped) and extra points if taken from a man trying to kill you!
Mine: A 1907 Colt (i.e. "real") Bisley in 41 Long Colt, carved ivory grips with ruby eyes, sent to Mexico City, ended up on the "Rez" in AZ. Originally gold washed, it was stripped and engraved by a local Indian craftsmen with a Native American theme of a Yaqui hunting a jaguar, Indians pursuing a stage coach, Aztec masks, etc.
