I feel cornered to use a term like "FAVORITE" because it seems to leave no room whatsoever for all the other things I love...
But one I have been enamored with lately is a Walther GSP in .32 S&W Long. Holy cow, if you are one of the (far too many!) that believes all your current production tactical combat guns can shoot "better than I can!" then I assure you, this pistol will be lost on you. Only a five shot magazine and a wholly different look (and by definition an "assault weapon" in Cook County, IL and all of NY State), this pistol is extremely capable and it removes all doubt when you try your hand at small group shooting on paper.

My father's old Colt. Sig P228 I have some history with. BHP because it was the first handgun I ever bought. Kimber my wife bought me for our 25th anniversary. My G19 because I carry it when not carrying my 640.

Sometimes I just ilke to sit and look at it, but it's a lot of fun at the range, and gets some attention, too. Probably made in 1897

Like asking which of my children I love the most. Actually, unlike handguns, I have only one child so that's easy.
Handguns, lately I'm very fond of my CZ 75 Pre B.

That is a tough choice. I will have to use two categories.
Historical significance:
My decommissioned 2nd Marine Raiders Support Battalion M45A1
Fits me like a glove, shoots like a dream:
CZ75 SP01 Shadow

A non-Smith handgun really limits my choices within my accumulation.
With that said, my choice would be my Seecamp 380.

Easily, my favorite non-S&W is my little Sig Sauer P238 SAS (Sig Anti-Snag) in .380 Auto. This little pistol shoots remarkably well. Not only for me, but everyone who has shot it remark how easy this little gun is to shoot and hit the mark. And, it's not hard to look at either. It is a reliable sweet little shooter!

Thanks for letting me show you my little Sig.
God bless,

I don't have much to choose from but right now it is a toss up between the Uberti and the Colt DS.

Is that the El Patron? Found an unfired one, pre-owned in a shop for $490, very tempted.

Ruger Vaquero 5 1/2" .45 Colt. Had a Bill Oglesby action job when I bought it used almost 20 years ago. I added a Belt Mountain base pin. It's my hunting companion loaded with 2 rounds of #8 shot loads followed by 4 Grizzly 300 gr. WFPs.

Flattop .44, cut to 4 5/8" color-cased cylinder frame by Turnbull, locking base pin, mesquite grips. The custom work was done by John Gallagher.

Do old steel frame, 5 shot, fixed firing pin, square butt Rossis count (as non S&W)?

Tough call, but mine would either be any Colt 1911 model, or the Beretta 92. One is like having a classic pre-war American car, the other is like having a 70s or 80s era Italian sports car.

As much as I love my 1911's, it would have to be my Gen1 Glock 17. Thousands of trouble free rounds down range without a hiccup. My bug out bag pistol.

I have different favorites for different occasions, but I could narrow it down to my favorite "if I could only have one" gun would be my Glock 23. It's the one I depend on and never lets me down.
My favorite sweetheart gun, though, would be my Colt model M. Not real practical these days but she's a beauty.

My sentimental favorite is a Ruger SP101 3" 357. Owned several over the years and recently purchased another. Put a Meprolight night sight on the front and a pair of Pachmayr Diamond Pro grips on the grip stub.
It's accurate, bull strong, dependable and handy at 26 ounces. It travels with me to many places and it is comfortable to shoot 357s through this little heater and best of all POA/POI are the same!
5 rounds 357 at 10 yards rapid fire, double action!

I would have to call my STI Lawman 4.0 my favorite non-S&W. It just doesn't realize it has a short barrel. Photo shows sighting it in the day I took delivery.

My Browning Feather XS in 410 is my favorite gun by volume of ammo shot in the last 3 years, a little over 15,000 rounds!
My life depends on a 49 no dash, but we aren't counting that! So my second (cold weather) carry gun is a Para Carry 3.25 LDA in 45 ACP and a 8 round 1911 mag!

When friends come over my place to shoot clay targets,,
the S&W 629 stays in the house, and I prefer my Turkey Hunters Special.
The Benelli has 50% more shots than the 629,, also,,,
Also, I have WAY more variety of ammo for the Benelli than the ~3-4 I have for the 629,,,
Maybe, some day,, I will learn to swing the 629 fast enough to hit clay birds,,,

Like many of you my Colt Government Model is an old favorite. It's the only auto I shoot with any regularity.
In a S.D. Myres pigskin holster.

Benelli Super Black Eagle. Hands down. Dropping all creatures great and small from woodcock to bucks and everything in between. Definitely not just a ‘duck gun’.
