Favorite non-S&W
For me it'd have to be a Les Baer 1911. This one is my latest-a factory hard chrome finish UTC. Just changed out the standard 3 dot night sights to a Novak night with large white circle on the front and a 10-8 rear. It originally came with the thin grips, I also swapped to the standard thickness Baer grips.
This gun just locks right in to my hand, very accurate and 100% reliable. Over the past 39 years I've owned Colt 1911s, some stock and others that were customized by both Novak and Wilson. Great guns but there's just something about Baer's pistols that I prefer.

Very nice! Baer has a great reputation, but I've never held one let alone owned one. I'm limited to buying mostly used/abused Colts and a few Springfields.

Colt Custom Shop Combat Commander from early 90s.
Wish I had the 9mm version to match

Sig P220. I'd prefer a P210 but the price is too high.

Premier II
My Les Baer is a Premier II. I've had this one for about 13 or 14 years, not really sure. I need to go dig out the box one of these days and find the paper work I guess.

My favorite is still my CZ 75 Compact Pro-Tek. It carries well and I'm most accurate with it. If I ever have to take a trip to hell and back, I'm taking this bad boy.

Colt Gold Cup Series 70 National Match (circa 1974).
The most accurate, best shooting and my favorite Range and Competition Semi Auto. Tens of thousands of hand loads and still perking along without a hitch!

Favorite non S&W
I would have to say my favorite non-S&W would be this pristine 1977 "C" series Hi Power

My general vote would go to the Hi-Power.
My current favorite is a 9mm Colt Competition...

For revolvers, my 4.2" stainless GP100
For pistols, CZ75BD
Rifles are a bit difficult since S&W only makes MSRs and I'm not really into MSRs. But my favorite sporting/utility rifle is a Marlin 336.

The HK P7M13 is very impressive. I've had it since the mid 1980s still ANIB. Tied for first place are almost any German made Sig Sauer, e.g. Sig 226, 228, 229 (.357 Sig), and 220.

If I am not chasing Smiths, I am after 1911s. Too many favorites to choose from, but to play along I'd go with my EB Kobra Carry.

Daily carry is either my Smith&Wesson model 60 2" bbl 357 five shot, or my Kel-Tec P-11 which carries 12 rounds of 9mm.
One or the other every day, always armed when I leave the house.
Either is as easy as carrying car keys. A habit.

Beretta 92FS. Over 4,500 rounds without a malfunction, with everything from ****** commerically reloaded ammo to premium JHP. I could shoot it better than just about any other gun I've tried, including custom 1911s, despite being rather large for my small/medium hands. Spent almost 20 years in storage and all it needed was a cleaning and some lube to get back in shape. It currently serves as my HD gun, loaded with 147gr HST.

My favorite none S&W? That would have to be my Series 70 Gold Cup.45 purchased new around 1974. Was shooting Bulls Eye and that was the reason I bought it. Got bored to death shooting that discipline and the more adventitious (younger) members started a PPC shoot. That morphed into a conglomerate of 5 clubs on a rotating biases. I shot both rev and "off duty" (2 1/2 and smaller barrels) with S&W so I started using the cup to shoot the auto PPC
. We then got hooked up doing Cooper type combat and I modified the cup for that. Hogged out the mag well, put on a longer slide release and as I shot full power loads put in a recoil buffer. Did real good in the matches and I carried that gun as a CCW for years when clothing and weather would allow.
I now carry smaller CCWs but if things get real nasty (pick a reason) the Cup will go back to being my primary carry.
I did have a coupe more runner ups but the Gold Cup is my favorite!

I had to give this a good bit of thought before I decided on my little Kahr P380 with C.T. Laser. It works out well for concealed carry with the light clothing I wear daily here in Florida. Easy to slip into a pocket for EDC.

After thinking about it some I was wondering why I'm even thinking about it. It's what I carry. I wouldn't carry it if it didn't fit everything I wanted it to do. G19!

Colt New Frontier in .44-40 with a factory-fit .44 Special cylinder. 4-3/4 inches, blue and color case hardened. Kicking myself for not buying elephant ivory handles when that was legal.

My favorite non-S&W would never be a 1911. I don't even own any anymore. However, I do have to admit my Government Model .380 made by Star, a Model S, is a fabulous gun. I have had it for years and it is crazy accurate.
Then there are my Ruger Vaqueros that I used for cowboy action shooting. I adore those.
Hard to choose - I have always had an amazing fondness for mouseguns, especially .25 autos like my Beretta 950 BS, that I carried for years, the amazingly tiny Precision Small Arms Baby Browning replica, and the CS Due. My suppressed Walther P22 is up there, too.
The Beretta 85 FS is a favorite, too.
But my favorite non-S&W I don't have a picture of but I will soon. It is a Remington Model 788 in .308 Winchester, nearly 50 years old, and still as accurate as the day it was born.

I really dig my Beretta 96A1 with some OEM and Wilson goodies on it. My trusty duty weapon of 17+ years is my Glock 35. Can't complain, she goes bang every time and gets detailed every year for wear and tear. That's why she's lasted so long.

For me, it's this Hi Power Practical in 40 S&W, made in 1995. It fits my hand nicely, it has some weight to it and the sights are easy to see. The insides looks as nice as the outside. The trigger could be better, I suppose, but oh well.

Exactly! Here's mine, a G23 tho, not a 19. Not pretty, not old, but does everything I want it to do. Carried daily, shot often. RM06 equipped, slide work by ATEi.

Yep! minus the RMR mine is circa 2003. Shot a lot, carried every day for a decade. If that doesn't scream"favorite" I don't know what does

We're still getting acquainted but I could see my new Sig M11A1 becoming a real favorite of mine.
