Default I didn't need another Shotgun but....

at $400, I couldn't pass this up.
Remington 870 Express done up by Vang Comp (ported, ghost ring sights, +2 tube, sidesaddle & jumbo head safety). Not sure what else has been done. I put 5 slugs through it at the indoor range/gun shop I bought it from. I really couldn't tell any difference with the porting in recoil, but I didn't do a side by side comparison with a non-ported gun. I have seen videos where the porting does help keep the muzzle down during recoil.

Yeah, I can't complain. They actually wanted $425, but I've been a real good customer recently, so they knocked off $25.

Nice find. Great price we can always use another shotgun.

My maverick ended up with a riot barrel on it. I have a 30" barrel for it too. I need another shotgun.

I've never fired a ported shotgun at night (unported, I have), it makes me wonder if you will have any night vision left? I didn't, with trap loads, shooting raccoons around the house!

Great buy, I love their sights. Shoot some buckshot through it and see how it patterns, Vang comp used to offer a back boring process in the chamber that reduced buckshot patterns significantly. If your gun has had this process, it will shoot buckshot patterns much tighter than normal 870's. I own two Vang's, have shot several of them over the years and it gives the shotgun with buckshot an entirely different performance level.
You got a great buy regardless, and yes the ported barrel will increase the "light show" in low light..
