Saw it and had to have it.
This was up for sale locally and I had to have it as I have a soft spot for .22's
It's a J. Stevens Model 35 with a 10 inch barrel and produced somewhere around 1917 I believe. It looks like the frame is Nickel and the barrel was originally blued.
The bore is in good condition and the mechanics are in good shape as well.

Always liked the look of these guns, have a weakness for single shot guns. It has a nice style to it. We definitely need a range report on this one, should shoot as good as it looks. Larry

Nice looking pistol. I had a later post WW1 mfg w/the stamped steel trigger guard. Great shooter.
Go easy on the ammo. STd Vel at most. Many who collect and shoot these recommend using the CB Longs in them.
The lock up is next to nothing, just a shallow V cut in the right side of the bbl at the breech that the cross slide locking bolt grabs in to. They can loosen up quickly if abused at all and many are around in that condition.
Orig finish is nickel frame and blued bbl.
The post WW1 mfg No.35 (early '20s to late 30's(?) are mostly all blue finish. These were made under Savage Arms ownership of the Stevens Co. & name.

Thanks for the info! I only intend on shooting CB or Aguila colibri through them.
For the price that it was offered at I couldn't pass it up.

Very Nice. Mine must be the later Post WWI version since it has the stamped trigger guard. Mine is all blue with an 8" barrel.

I have a stevens it has a 14" barrel and a wire stock. How much did you pay for it just trying to get a feel for value.

First time I ever fired a handgun, must have been 5 or 6 yoa, it was a Stevens that looked just like the one posted by the OP. Thanks for the trip back in time.

Unfortunately not. I believe only the 14 inch variants were cut for the stocks and were referred to as a bicycle rifle
