Yes, definitely a Mark IV. However, the reflections of the light, especially the polished appearance of the frame surface above the grip panel (note the mirror reflection of the break-open lever) would lead me to believe it is not a war finish version, but a pre- or post-war commercial gun. The somewhat blurry nature of the video frame makes it hard to be sure.

That possibility can be safely eliminated by noting the top of the grip and the additional ridge on the underside of the barrel frame forward of the pivot joint, which is typical of the Webley, but missing on the Enfield.

thanks to all for your input. to answer the questionable finish, in other scenes it definitely looks like it has a nice original finish; the lighting is likely 100% responsible for the image quality. this revolver also fits in very nicely with the storyline. it was the actor's grandfather's service revolver and it was filmed in England. it's nice when the props are given the proper detail, though i wouldn't put it past the producers getting the chance to write-off a collectible as a business expense.

cheers...gary

It's definitely a WWII-era Webley Mark IV. Look Closely at the photo and you will see "WAR FINISH" marked on the left of the frame. Webley was proud of its commercial-finish guns, and wanted it understood that the finish on these wartime revolvers was an exception and not to its usual standards.

A duplicate of the gun pictured is featured in my book 101 Classic Firearms, on pages 94 and 95.

I think you misunderstood the OP. The question was about the gun in the video snip, not the war-finish Mark IV in the second picture which the OP added for illustrative purposes and whose identity was never in question.

Definitely a Webley MkIV. The separate trigger guard is the clue.

really have all the info i need, but managed to capture a much better frame today (check the OP) when the series looped around. for the curious, the series is the English comedy (now out of production) "The IT Crowd". funny show especially if you've ever worked on the tech side of computers.

thanks again... gary
