Default "New" high standard R-103

Recently I've had an itch to get a double action revolver. I inherited an H&R 622, but due to the high hammer and short barrel it's more of a single action. This past weekend at a local auction I decided to place a bid on a nice condition 4" barrel R-103 with a leather holster. There is some finish loss in the barrel and the cylinder, but it locks up nicely and didn't look abused. Ended up paying $150 plus fees and sales tax. Hopefully i can get to the range soon. Due to NYS laws and my schedule it looks like ill be picking it up on Saturday. This was an auction picture, I'll update with my own when I can.

Not too shabby - it’ll last a couple of lifetimes. I still have my Dad’s old Double-nine - I think he bought it around 67 or 68. He fired it once a year to knock down our annual most-likely-to-be-eaten steer. That little .22 would drop them in their tracks.
