Arno Bernard knives
I have been on the lookout for a small fixed blade knife for a while. The knife makers at the gunshows all seem to sell damascus blades and they never seem to have exactly what I was thinking of. Mr. Bernard is a South African knife maker. I am not sure where I first saw his name but I was impressed not only with his knife designs, but the scale material he uses is interesting. His website is: Arno Bernard Knives
I bought one of his Bush Baby series of knives, the Gecko. It has scales made from giraffe bone. I like this one so much I am thinking of getting one of his medium sized blades as well. Maybe as a Xmas present to myself.

To me, that is the perfect size EDC. I carry a Randall #1 mini. Same proportions. I like yours a little better because you have a touch more handle than mine. If it had a double hilt I would be on the list.

There's an Arno Bernard Sr and Jr. Both make knives. I have a camp knife that Sr made and it has mammoth ivory scales. At the time, it was the largest knife he had made. The blade is just over 8 inches long.

From what I have read about the family there are four brothers and Arno Sr, all in the knife making business in some form.

Arno Bernard has been around a long time. Has always made good stuff at a reasonable price.

That is a very nice knife. I have always admired Mr. Bernard's work.
My favorite is a similar Size made for me by Geno Denning
The little stag handled one is a miniature of the larger Ironwood scaled GM Model
