Lovely gun!! Very desirable and quite serviceable.
Folks that have never handled a good Parker have no idea what they're missing.
It's guns like this that leave me uninterested in the modern tacticool guns.

Beautiful, side by sides are easy on the eyes, and they feel so good in the hand.
Have a blessed day,

I agree that the example shown exhibits a high degree of original finish which is rare as these were bought to be constantly used. D Grade Parkers are sometimes labeled "Doctors Guns" since the fell into the middle of the price grades. They ran around $100 to $125 or so depending upon option choices like ejectors during that era. I have a D grade from this period which is essentially devoid of any color.

that's a beauty. I use a double for Turkey Hunting, choice of choke is a big feature. My CE fox is 26" IC/F, perfect for the one hanging up on the edge or the one that charges in full bore.

They just don't make 'em like that anymore.
I just bought a Fox Sterlingworth from 1920 out of an estate sale. I have a weakness for old doubles as well.
That Parker is a beautiful shotgun. It defines the word "classic"!

I just looked up Serial # 119231 in the Parker Identification and Serialization book and according to the published specs and from what I can see your gun is all original and unmolested. I can't see the buttplate in the posted pictures but it should be an original skeletonized example.

Very nice, it's pretty evident it didn't spend any time in a duck blind.

Nice Old Parker
It's a real beauty and I've always wanted a PARKER, Trojan grade would have been just fine but I was always partial to the lesser 16 or 20 Guages. I went through the posts a couple times and never read what Guage this one is, so is it a 12? Appreciate your sharing!

It is a 12 ga. and has the skeleton butt plate. A 12 ga. with 30" barrels is pretty common. What is uncommon is the condition of this almost 115 year old Parker.
Does anyone know if an ivory bead front sight was standard or optional on a DH?
