I have a chance to buy a nice Daly clone of a hi power. trying to research information on them, not finding much. I like how it feels and seams to be built well.
Is around 350.00 a good price for it in box extra mag and it great shape.

If I'm not mistaken they we're Hungarian FEGs. Very good quality clone HiPowers. Manufactured in Hungry then final machining and assembly by Magnum Research

Yes they are a good copy of the HP. 350 is a good price for one at this time. They seem to go for 4-450.
In addition to Magnum Research, Dan Wesson also finished some.

They are very decent guns by all accounts. I should have picked one up when they were in production.
If you don't want it PM me with the details and I will buy it...

Harrisburg is Kannasar imports. They imported a lot of Hungarian firearms back in the late 80s/early 90s

K.B.I imported and sold FEG P9 and both the early and late variants of the P9M. The FEG P9 was a near perfect copy of the pre-MK II Hi Power with 100% parts compatibility, while the first generation P9M added larger sights, an extended safety lever and 1911 style slide release, but was otherwise 100% compatible with the FN Hi Power.
The Charles Daly Hi Power was an effort by K.B.I to have an upscale model that would compete directly with FN/Browning Hi Powers. K.B.I. imported unfinished parts from FEG and then had them finished and assembled by Dan Wesson Inc. They did this for the first 500 (or 800, depending on the source) pistols and then started having Magnum Research assemble the balance of the approximately 3000 pistols that were made.
The Dan Wesson assembled pistols have an HP prefix on the serial number while the Magnum Research pistols have an HPM prefix. Since the pistols were finished and assembled in the US, they are stamped as US made and do not have any import marks.
The Charles Daly Hi Power is a P9 (pre-Mk II Hi Power clone), but with the addition of an extended safety lever, and with the slide milled for Novak sights. The Dan Wesson pistols were milled for the Browning Hi Power Novak sight dimensions, while the Magnum Research pistols were milled for 1911 Novak Sight dimensions.
In summary, they are superb Hi Power copies and are very nicely finished. I had a chance to buy a new one back when K.B.I was making them, but in my ignorance at the time I passed on it. I regretted it ever since and I'm still looking for one.
If I have one complaint, it's that the Magnum Research made pistols used XS Big Dot sights, which use a fairly shallow "express" style rear sight. It's nice for fast target acquisition, but you give up some in potential accuracy.
Price wise, $350 is a steal. $450 would be a good price, and I'd pay $500 for one in excellent condition. If you don't buy it, please let me know where it's at and I'll call them and buy it.
Edit:
I just looked at completed sales on Gun Broker:
10-2-2017, very good condition, $475.77
9-25-2017, very good condition, $438.00 (and it was in Raleigh - if I'd have known I'd have bid).
9-25-2017, excellent condition, $495
At $350, unless it's beat up, there's nothing to decide.

I've got one of the Magnum Research versions, picked it up a few years ago, practically new, in the box, with 4 mags for $350. It is a great gun, very well built, and everything is in spec so replacement BHP parts fit. After removing the mag disconnect the trigger is clean and crisp, about 5lbs. I replaced the hammer with a C&S 'No Bite' version which made it much more comfortable to shoot, HPs bite the web of my hand bad but that hammer eliminates the problem. The gun is reliable and accurate, if I could find another nice one for $350 I would not hesitate to grab it.

I had one. It is a very well made clone (see Posts #9 & #10). Mine was absolutely reliable. I sold mine by way of consignment 4-5 years ago for varied reasons, but $350.00 is a good price. I think back in 2007-2008 cdnn may have had them for $299 or slightly less. That was a good price then.
