I only have two. A "McQ" special 1974 vintage. And a 1944 vintage John Inglis w/shoulder stock & "accessories".

l have one called the High Power Comp.. UGLY monster too, with sights

looking like they came on a Daisy Red Rider. Front sight is on its front

barrel weight. Rear is stamped sheet metal... Couple hundred made back in

middle 80s... NO creep in the trigger tho

No need to apologize. I like the seeing other's guns and hearing their stories.

I used to have a FEG myself, with the same KBI importers marks. I had to sell it when I was out of work for a couple of years. Your's appears to be in nicer shape than mine was though.

Deep high polish blue and creamy holly wood grips. The prettiest gun I think I ever saw was a high polish deep blue Browning HP with sambar stag grips. I settled for these wood grips made from the holly tree. They fit and feel PERFECT. This combo holds in my hand the best of any semi-auto I have ever owned !

Because the condition of my 69c Hi Power is basically "as new", I decided to look for a shooter, so as not to worry about putting any wear on it's beautiful blue finish. Some time later, I came into an unfired FEG. This clone is a wonderful shooter. Early on I had a few shell ejection issues with it. After some research and inspection, I very carefully put a very mild polish on the chamber. That along with giving the feed ramp a polish, this thing now has functioned flawlessly for well over 1k+ rounds. The finish is really quite nice I'll add, but doesn't touch the vintage HP's fit/finish.

It's a real nice shooter. I'm going to take out the mag disconnect and otherwise leave it alone.

Had mine for 50 years, my first handgun. Lately I shoot it with my Ciener Conversion Unit.

Default My Only One.....

I picked this up earlier this year, an FM Detective Model. I installed a C&S safety, removed the magazine disconnect. Shoots great.

I plan on pickin' up a few more.

Default Hi powers

If you've ever wanted a Hi Power find what you want and buy it while ya can ( as of November of this year, they'll no longer be made by FN or imported by Browning). This is my current collection. Left to right; '67 "T" series, '73 "C" series, '80 Classic, '86 MKII, and '93 MKIII Sport

I can't add much to the very nice collections above. My dad had one when I was young, neither are still here.

One thing I can say without reservation is the BHP just feels good in the hand. Hard to find a handgun that has better balance or feels better than a BHP.

I bought mine a couple years back and had it mildly customized by C&S. I bought the target version, the sights are custom Novak style night sights with Trijicon tritium inserts. The G10 grips even enhance the feel. Bar-Sto barrel, beveled mag well, mag disconnect removed with C&S trigger job, no-bite hammer, and more. Galco holster in the picture.
