Have been carrying an original LCP in my pocket since 2010. 100% reliable and accurate (if you take your time), just a great little pistol!
Earlier this year I thought about upgrading to a 9mm. Bigger is better, right? Looked at all the options and came across a deal on a Sig 938. About the smallest of the micro 9's, it too proved to be 100% reliable and accurate. Very nice shooter too for such a small pistol. A couple of weeks go by and I come to realize (for me) this is not a pocket pistol. Felt like a brick in my pocket after the LCP. Thought about belt carry for the 938, but I own a Glock 26 for that and sold the Sig.
Been off this week and yesterday stopped in a favorite LGS. Mistake. We got to talking about pocket pistols and I commented that there where no LCP II's in the case. "sold'm like Mcmuffin's this Christmas" was his comment when another employee said there's one left in the safe. "you gotta' try the trigger" he said. Mistake. Night and day difference between it and my old one. "we where selling them for $269 plus tax, if you want this last one I'll do $259". ****.

Been carrying an LCP for a few years. Small, light, reliable and no miniature controls to fumble with. Ruger hit a home run.

I tried to like the LCP but just couldn't get any grouping, all over the target, which is most likely my fault, past about 3-5 yards. Got a deal on a Remington RM380 & now at least am good on grouping to about 10 yards which IMO is all those kinds of guns are good for anyways

A couple of months ago I sold my Seecamp and bought a LCP II. It is so easy to drop into a wallet holster and carry about anywhere. I only shoot it off handed and practice at 30'. Last night I kept 3 of 5 in the black of a standard 50' bullseye target so I am quite happy with the performance. I have found painting the front sight white followed by a bright orange really makes for a quick sight picture.

That said, about a month ago I acquired a LCP and in the box was a Hogue grip, 13# recoil spring, and Sweet Pea trigger, and Viridian green laser all of which I installed. That combination really makes the original LCP easy to shoot accurately.
I keep the LCP in the car and much of the time the LCP II in my back pocket holster.
These are really nice little guns.

Congratulations. I'm still with the original LCP. There have been some deals on the II but I tried one and while its better, it just wasn't better enough to justify (for me). The LCP weighs about 1/2 what my next lightest pistol weighs (which is my 442). It's flatter, carries more rounds, and with a small grip sleeve is very reasonably accurate at its <7 yards intended range. I'd love to carry it in a rear pocket in a wallet holster but I learned 10 years ago that my wallet was what was causing me to have back problems. Moved it to my front pocket and haven't had problems since, so I'll stick with the DeSantis pocket holster and my LCP.

We have sold a ton as well. Also at 269. It was the top selling pistol in America for 2017 according to a few articles i read.

When the LCPII came out I tried it and liked it enough I bought it and sold my original LCP I had been carrying for around 5 years. There is just enough difference in the II that it feels better in the hand, and the trigger is quite a bit better. What's not to like.

I won't carry it.

I carry a j frame the majority of the time but when concealment is everything I grab my LCP (original style).

A great gun all around....and scary accurate. I've shot several decent groups at 30yds...and I ain't that good

Maybe I got lucky and have the most accurate one Ruger ever made ..... The .380 is far from a powerhouse but I carry my LCP with confidence that I can put holes where they need to be.

Ruger did hit a home run with the LCP. I was fortunate enough to get a Custom before they stopped making them and it is now my EDC. Accurate, easy to shoot, no malfunctions. I've mostly carried it in a recluse holster I've had for a while.

Kids gave me a new Recluse for Christmas with the extra mag pouch!

I do like the old LCPs. But my new LCP-II snapped after 80 rounds of ball, right out of the box. Still waiting on the Big Chicken (Ruger Phoenix logo) to fix the gun, then I'm flipping it.

I AM however anxiously waiting on my new Ruger GP100 to get here. Those are great L-frames.

I carry my LCP when I’m with my wife, so she doesn’t know I’m carrying. She thinks I’m going to shoot someone. 21 years, what does she know? And my Glock 19 MOS with a FF3 when I don’t require the biblical definition of concealment.

About a year ago I was alone in my house and heard a noise upstairs. My dogs were with me and not upstairs so the noise, which turned out to be cat related, had my full attention. I had the LCP on me and out it came. As I was walking up the stairs only mildly concerned of an intruder, all I was thinking was how small this gun is and wishing I had a Glock or even a J or K frame.

I have an LCP II and the sights and trigger are superior to the earlier design but the best thing is the recoil. I can shoot a box of ammo easily through it but the original LCP made my hand numb after only a couple magazines.

Heard that before, but I saw so many problems with Kel-tecs on the range that I waited and bought an LCP I.

Kel-Tec was the original. Ruger had an issuse with copying the Kel-Tec.I got tired of waiting in 2008 (over a year) for the Ruger and bought the K el Tec it's been a great pocket with a ton of rounds threw .

I have owned an LCP for a number of years. It has been a great pistol. Shoots better than I thought it would, reliable, affordable etc... money well spent!
