Default Heritage 22

The pawn shop that's always takin my money has a Heritage 22 on sale for $79.00. It appears to be in good shape. I've read good and bad about this gun. I would only use it as a plinker & tackle box gun. Should I put down the money for it??

50-50 chance you will need to send it back to Heritage to correct the timing. I would call Heritage and determine if there is an issue will they cover it -I think they warrant the gun for the life of the gun regardless of owner. Call and verify this and determine who pays the shipping and if it would be you determine the cost. I bought two at Academy on BF sale for $100. Once I sent back to fix the timing. Once up and running they are a great buy.

I had one of the all-steel, 6-shot, 6-1/2" barrel versions with the fiber optic adjustable sights. It was well made but for some reason I was underwhelmed by it and ended up selling it after I had it about a year. I have read several accounts here and there that their customer service is pretty good.

You can't go wrong at $79. If you really want it and don't want to pony up a bit more for a .22 from a different manufacturer, see if he'll take $70 even OTD.
