After posting about the drop point 5160 alloy steel Buck 110 I bought for my birthday, I found out the new lightweight Model 110 LT had just been released. For $27.14 delivered I could not resist. It arrived yesterday.
The new made in the USA Buck model 110 LT comes with the standard Buck 110 420HC stainless clip point blade. It has a liner-less black nylon handle. It weighs in at 3.2 ounces compared to 7.4 ounces for a standard 110. It comes with a nylon mesh belt pouch which can be worn vertically or horizontally. I find it fits comfortably in my rear pants pocket where my tri-fold wallet keeps it vertical.
The build materials are quite similar to the old 1998ish Bucklite Model 444 pictured. I carried that little 444 for five to ten years. It has seen a lot of use.
I like this new 110 LT. The light weight overcomes my primary objection to carrying a 110. This 110 LT will see more pocket time than my birthday drop point, but the drop point has it beat in the beauty department.
If your barbecue gun is a Glock 19, the new Buck Model 110 LT will make the perfect companion piece.
