I actually saw and TOUCHED a Sig P365 at a local gun show. My impressions are the gun is small, a little smaller than a Glock 43, maybe too small. 10 rounds is certainly a plus. I was not impressed with the quality of the gun. IMO Sigs made in US are not close to the old German quality. I will let others beta test for a few months. The sights seemed OK like the night sights on a FNs. The trigger is OK, better than a Glock out the box. To the gentleman selling the guns credit he had it priced at $599. the MSRP. He said he had only 1 or 2 however by mid day on Saturday he had not sold one.
My question is who are the fools paying $700. for a P365 on Gunbroker?

There is a lot of excitement on SIGTALK about this new gun. I have read where people have already sold off a gun or guns to have money to buy a 365, without even seeing the gun yet. (CRAZY!) I held the 365 last week, as I do like the capacity, the gun is one of many polymer guns available. It felt OK and it was cool, but some people are just going Nuts over this thing. Definitely would not pay $700.

There have been and always will be, fanatics with more money than brains, that simply NEED to be the first one in their group/community to have the latest toy. Just like those who stand in line for Hours/Days to get the newest iPhone, or see the newest sequel of their favorite movie franchise.

I remember when the Kel-Tec KSG first came out... MSRP was $650, but some on Gunbroker paid over $3,000 in order to be the first (and regret it due to its original Feed problems).

I also remember people paying over $500 to snag an M&P Shield when they got popular (Summer 2012)... and thought it was a great deal... Because they were even able to FIND one.

In what respect is the quality suspect?

I stopped at the Sig pro shop yesterday and it looked and felt ok, but the trigger seemed really lite. They said 6 lbs, felt more like 1lb. I carry a Kahr PM909 every day so I am use to the size, caliber etc

Looks to be a Kahr PM9 with 10 rds. and better trigger than a Shield or Glock.

Very appealing to me.

My EDC is a Kahr CM-9. A couple of days ago a chap had a Sig P 365 at the indoor range. I met him after he just got through shooting. He had just bought the pistol. He said he shot 150 rounds without any malfunctions. He liked it. I compared it to my CM-9 and it is basically the same size. IMHO, it, like the CM-9 is a true pocket pistol. Like you say, if it proves reliable (my Kahr is 100% so far) and has more magazine capacity, I'll probably give it a whirl, after the dust settles. I have a Sig P 320 and IMHO the trigger action is one of it's best qualities. The folks at the indoor range said that they hoped to get one in for rental pretty soon.

The gun is having issues with the barrel hood peening the inside of the slide, and the front sights going dim. Sig is replacing the sights with the X-Ray sights.

I've seen one video with one example that has a lot of problems. Are there more?
