Default SHOTGUN SUNDAYS!

I got some shottys and they some hottys! The 870 is a Police Magnum thats old but this one is brand new! I got inspired by an Arney movie that know ones heard of and decided to call this the Saraaah Connnaaaahh Project. The police folder stock is new too and thought it was kinda a rarity to have one of these police guns brand new. GET TO DAH CHOPPAAAHH!!!

The Mossberg Cruiser is also brand new and its also a 20 gauge. The cool thing is you can buy one of these Mossberg 20 gauges for an astronomically low price. I think I paid a little over $200 bucks for it new! I am a big 20 gauge fan and I dont think it gets enough credit as the 12 gauge. Home defense, truck gun, or hunting the 20 gauge wonderful, versatile, and easy to shoot!

I recently went to a gun show a few weeks back and I was looking at the vast armada of shotguns there. I was checking out the little Mossberg Shockwave in 20 gauge. I thought that was cool for how small it is but than I realized it is the exact same length more or less than my Cruiser! The Cruiser is also less than half the price of the Shockwave! SHOTGUN SUNDAYS!!! What you got?

This is the only one I have pics of right now. Kel Tec KSG 12 gauge bought a couple of weeks ago for $550. In the vault I have a Winchester model 37 youth 20 gauge ( my first shot gun), my trusty Ithaca model 37 featherweight 12 gauge ( got it used 30 years ago), Winchester 1300 N*** edition, and my fathers Game Department 870 wingmaster with the 18” barrel and rifle sights form the early 80’s.

The KelTec kind of reminds me of the old Mossberg 500 Bullpups. My first shotty was also a Winchester. It was a Ranger model 120 and it operated a lot like the Mossberg 500s. It also felt like it had a shorter and better pump action than the Mossberg but i cant confirm or deny that.

I like the title of this post. Sunday Day Shift @ the PD was shotgun cleaning/maintenance day. Every beat car was scheduled to come into HQ by the dispatcher and breakdown the assigned shotgun for cleaning and general maintenance. It was a bit of a break to get a cup of coffee and relax for a few minutes before going back on the road.

I like the 870. Of all the shottys I think the 870 is my favorite... The crazy thing is I prefer most everything on the Mossberg 500 more! I prefer the controls the most on the Mossberg. The safety on the 500 is were I think a shotgun safety should be and I like the lite aluminum frame. Nevertheless I still will always like the 870 best for some reason.
