I have come across what i am sure is a barrel for a Hand Rifle. The issue is the rifle I have and everyone I have seen has a screw holding on the forearm. This one has a stud and I am sure the forearm snapped on like a single barrel shotgun. Unless there is something stamped under the scope base the only roll stamp says 30-30 cal WIN , and 5759 below that. Any information anyone is willing to share would be appreciated.
If the stud is for a snap on forend it is for a older model H&R or
possibly a 219 Savage. The newer H&Rs & NEFs have a threaded
bushing welded to barrel that accepts forearm screw. I could
also be for some import that I don't know of.
Thanks guys, it is for a H&R Topper model 48 or 148. My next questions, I see those model Topper shotguns for sale for sale for $100 or so. Will that barrel fit on a shotgun frame ? Does anyone know if the shotgun and rifle frames are the same ?
