Default Randall model 19

Here is my new Randall model 19 and my old model 21. I think they make a nice set.

Most folks don't believe that they need a Randall until they hold and ultimately own one or three.

Beautiful knifes and great tools in the field!

Agree. At 61, I just bought my first and don’t know how/why I waited so long!

I've always admired Randall Knives but never cared to wait so long for one. The longer I delayed the longer the wait time gets. If I could find one that I really liked for sale on the secondary market (usually NIB and at a premium price) I'd probably get it. At 64 I don't feel like waiting 5 years to get it from the Factory as I'll probably never get much of a chance to use it. I should have ordered one 30 years ago!

I do have a few Marbles (Gladstone MI - USA MADE) sheath knives that are also beautiful and sharp enough to shave with. Years ago I had a better sheath made for it (the original Marbles was ehhh. Admittedly, not as nice as the Randalls, but more than good enough to perform any tasks I need. I've also got my Dad's USN MK sheath knife from WWll that while it's nothing to look at compared to a Randall, I do cherish it. It IS razor sharp!

Your Randalls are beautiful! Use them well and in good health!!

I'm guessing you haven't been buying them long enough if you only have 3. I thought I could quit about that point, too. Then again about 5 or 6. Even that was a long time ago.

I have the two I've shown, a saltwater utility knife (shown with a Buck 110), and a model 1 (with a model 2 handle) I ordered 3 years ago for a special birthday coming up in 2 years. I think I'm done. These are all users,

They certainly are sweeeeet. I agree the wait time on ordering them is off-putting, however, where i’m at there is a large independent outfitter store that has quite an extensive display of them for sale. I eyeball them frequently. The price tag is another matter, especially since the knife display is right next to the firearm department, and for that kind of money..... lol. One of these days i’ll break down and buy one.

Buxton knives sells them at no markup. Just keep checking until they have one you like. They always have model 1's and Buxton fighters. Unless you really want to build one to your exact specs, there is no reason to wait.
