Default Not a pocket mouse gun!

Someone has this listed for sale locally. I'm not buying it but thought I'd post it for conversations sake. If I were to buy one I'd skip the lazer and bayonet. It was over $400 but now $375

I have a pretty low opinion of these guns without the gizmos.

The gizmos sure don’t improve my opinion.

I have a Sidewinder in my pocket every day. It's under my weak hand(but I'm left handed and pretty good with it)My feeling is that if I need to pull it and fire it will be a surprise, the next surprise will be a 1911 in the other hand right after the 22mag goes off.

Useful under the right circumstances.

Looks kinda dangerous with no trigger guard and what looks to be an 8th of an inch trigger pull.....and pocket carry is out of the question......Have not figured out the Gizmo on top of the cylinder unless it's a attachment bar to hang under the steering column of your vehicle... or on an arm harness for long sleeve concealment....

That’s an odd plan: you pull the gizmo and shoot it before you get your 1911 into action?

Seems backwards.

In fact, shooting the 1911 first obviates any role for the gizmo.

Not sure I care for the sighting system, but the retention device on the front looks very well made, and probably quite effective at preventing disarming, assuming, of course, that you would consider yourself armed in the first place.

At the bad-breath kind of distances this would be useful, what would you use the laser for?
Adding a blade that doubles its size AND prevents you from carrying it in your pocket? When size and pocketability are the only real selling points?
This is a joke, right?

He said under his week hand. If he needs it, it will be because his strong hand his tied up somehow. Like in a dog's mouth.

I keep a NAA mini in my weak hand pants pocket with my primary ED. The thing about his post is that I do the same thing. When things feel weird, but does not warrant drawing I can keep my hand on my NAA for a quick shot if needed.

This is pretty common with pocket carry, and bag carry. Nobody is alarmed by a hand in the pocket, or bag/purse.

As far as no trigger guard, the NAA IS SINGLE ACTION. A person can pull the trigger all day on an uncocked SA and it is NOT going to fire.

Chainsaw?

I just got home from cutting trees all day and wasn’t in a good mood. I was sharpening my saws for the next days work. My son was going down the street when the neighbors dog across the street attacked him. I had 8’ tall bushes between me and my son. I grabbed the chainsaw and walked right through the bushes, started the saw and chased the dog into his own yard. I went to knock on the door thinking the old man was home but he wouldn’t answer the door. The dog came at me this time. I fired up the saw and chased him again. They thought it was cool to teach the dog to attack. Bite my kid I’d make a unicycle pet in a heart beat. This was 35 years ago.

Alas, mine is just the stripped version. A pretty good "get off me" gun when concealability is paramount.

Not at all.. hypothetical.. but let's say you are being confronted, and your being watched for a sign a gun or knife is present.

Strong hand doesn't move until weak hand presents and fires.

Gizmo..?? I can place a 1000+ FPS round dead center mass..are you interested in the receiving end of that.. I think not.

Well, as noted above, you do need to cock it before you pull that trigger and just how, exactly, do you think you could pull that trigger if there was a trigger guard equally as diminutive as the rest of the gun? You'd need to insert a Q-tip or a toothpick to get to the trigger.

It is designed specifically for vest pocket carry. I suppose you could put it in any pocket but it is the perfect gun for a vest pocket. I don't do it presently but I could and I have in the past.

Well I like it! It's got flahsh, pee-zazz. From what I've read online, the few tiny lasers available for the platform are, uh, "problematic" at best, so you may have to pass on the 20 yard hostage rescue shots. I can see having a pocket holster that would accommodate the bayo, I imagine it'd have to be homemade.

Or you could just pocket carry something in a service caliber like .45 or even a lil' caliber like 9mm, and your first move would be a serious one. Always initiate with your heaviest weapon; I heard that somewhere, working for Uncle Sam. I spoze given typical street thug reactions to shots going off, you could use the pea shooter for what is essentially a warning shot to send them packing.

I always shake my head when I see the old "I never met anybody who would stand in front of it and let me shoot them" type of comments. They wouldn't want you throwing apple pies at them either, that doesn't mean it's a good choice for a fight.

Having said all that, I can definitely see carrying a mini revolver as a second or even third piece. Hereabouts your CCW permit is good for any type or number of pistolas, the only caveat given in the required class was to spread them out on your person so you don't walk with a pronounced list!

I've always been intrigued by the design and quality of the North American minis. But I'm sure that in the heat of an adrenaline fused encounter I'd become a neuter or soprano

While I honestly like the North American Arms Mini Revolvers and would even like to own one of their Sidewinders in .22WMR for deep concealment/BUG, obviously putting a little mini bayonet on one in just silly, as I imagine even the original owner knew and likely attached one more as a joke then kept it attached in hopes that someone would pay extra for the novelty.

Wouldn't the bayonet attachment interfere somewhat with rotation of the ejector rod on this arrangement? (Or am I missing something here?)

I actually like the laser on my 22 mag. I can put all 5 shots in a 5-inch circle at 50 feet with it. The gun is very accurate, but without the laser I could not hit the broad side of a barn. I never have mastered the open sights on these. I made a neck holster to carry the 22 mag when I need a summer backup. I don’t use it as a primary. I see no need for the bayonet, just carry a knife.
