Any idea what you want to do with it? Range use only? Concealed carry? Outdoors/woods carry? Home defense? All-around use?
For all-around use, it'd be pretty hard to beat a 4" S&W 686 or Ruger GP100 in .357 Magnum. A 3" would probably be a bit easier to carry. Personally, I would prefer a K-frame S&W, like the Model 65, but a 686 or GP100 would be better able to stand up to a regular diet of heavy loads if you want to do that.

For some reason the Kimber K6 has caught my eye. No good reason, I have no use for it. I also would like to know if the new Colt Detective Special is any good.

A Masterpiece. I prefer the K38, but the 32 and 22 are fine too.
