Default Can Anyone ID This Shoulder Stock

This metal shoulder stock just came out of an old collection. Never saw one like it. Measures 15" overall, looks like it clamps down on some kind of handgun butt. Can anyone ID? Jim.

It’s for a single action revolver. It’s time to rattle the bushes to find the correct pic. Unless someone is into these.

I can’t find any info. Maybe it’s very rare, antique?

EXTREMELY RARE BUNTLINE COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH SHOULDER STOCK.

Don't know what it fits,,I suspect it fit's a multitude of handguns and was sold as such from a catalog type of thing.
I don't think it's specific to a maker/model.,,though the two opposing small 'wings' or tabs on the bottom adj plate may give an indication to a specific model of handgun if those are to fit into something on the butt of the handgun.
They may be just for a little extra side support so the adj jaw doesn't roll to the side as you tighten it up.

One sold a while back at auction here:
Detachable metal skeleton shoulder stock, likely for a single shot pistol like a Stevens, etc., ni

Thanks for the reply's. Even Little john auction didn't know what it fit. Looks very specific to me. Had to be a particular handgun with the right configuration to fit the upright "jaws". Jim.

There's a pic of a Merwin & Hulbert with the same stock if you
search 'merwin & hulbert solid frame DA' and scroll down through the Images' a way. I can't get the individual pic to come up but you can view it on the Image page of Google.

I still think it was an accessory available and made to fit what ever handgun you might be able to jam into it.

2152hq,

You're exactly correct...And they're not even that old (40's-50's Vintage)...I've owned at least 3 of them over the years & sold them on eBay some years back...Brought decent money too!!!
