I couldn't resist. I've always felt attracted to small pocket pistols & when I got the email from Bud's gun shop that the Kel-Tec P-32 was available I wiggled. I'm not sure how many they have left but these small pocket guns are hard to find in this caliber and when people have one, they seem to hang on to them. I'm tempted to get the belt clip for it. I had a beretta tomcat 32, although it is a great gun I felt that it was too bulky for my tastes so I sold it. I had a M&P bodyguard 380 however the last round of light strikes ticked me off too much. And I've heard & read nothing but good about Kel Tec. My new P-32 primary use will be my walking companion down our miles of paved bicycle/walking trails throughout south texas.

I've got the pocket clip for mine. Looks just like a pocket knife, so much so that I've been asked by people on occasion to "Let me see your knife . . ." I just give them the knife in my other pocket . . .

I have P32 I like a lot. I need to shoot it more. I really want to get another P11, which is the smallest double stack 9mm I have seen. I had a one several years back and stupidly sold it.

This is my knife, this is my gun. One is for shooting and the other is for cutting stuff up.

If you want a really small gun, a .32 is a good choice. Much better than a .25.

And the funny thing is, in this part of south texas, quite a few people carry .32's. You can find .32 FMJ's and Hornady Custom HP's down here for around 20-25 bucks a box. I think most of it is in part to the 9 months of 95°+ heat.

I have had one for the past 15 years or so. Fits flat in a front pocket and has worked every time. Some gun is better than no gun.

Have you tried a Sccy CPX-2? I got to try one a few months back and found it a neat little gun. The DAO trigger was very smooth and the grip being a bit chunkier than an LC9s spread the recoil very well.

LOL.... picked up a used stainless Walther PPK/s in .32apc w/ 4 mags a few years back for < $400.... been thinking about it as a summer gun........ 8+1.......center fire ......... shot placement is king.

I know it's a bit big and heavy for a .32/7.65 but in the "burbs of the Burgh" might be kind of fun for a grab and go gun w/ 2 extra mags.....fast triple taps????

Don't want to rain on a parade but beware Kel-Tec service...i have a PF9 that is down in florida now for the second time. first time was for a new trigger. This time it has a cracked slide. They have had it for 6 weeks. I called friday to check and was told they had no more slides now to repair it, and no estimate when they would have them....Bought a new p11 just a month ago. The trigger wasn't connected to the hammer every other shot..Got it back last friday. Ran one magazine of blazer brass through it and the ejector broke. Sent it back in today. I'm a little frustrated with Kel-Tecs guns and customer service to say the least!

Have 1 now my last one I traded for a nice k frame.
Both have never jammed.
I ran many Types of ammo but keep fiocchi in it mostly.
A easy to carry bug mostly but working around the yard drop it in the shorts no problem.
Mostly the P32 gets good reviews.

That's not encouraging. I suspect their service dept. is overwhelmed with the SUB-2000 recall. My SUB-2000 was one of the newer ones affected by the barrel recall (it worked fine but for safety's sake I sent it in with the prepaid label they emailed me). I called them last week and was told it would be about 4 weeks turnaround. The jury is still out on how long it will take.

On the bright side (if you can look at it this way), I've read that they haven't let their business grow too fast with loans and over-leveraging to keep up with market demand for their products. That's why we have these delays - they have remained a 'smaller' company.

So I don't expect them to go out of business or file Chapter 11 like Remington - and that's a good thing!

I like the innovative products that Kel-Tec has. They're unique.

So, the P-32 was Kelgren's first gun. It's what put KelTec on the map. The Gen1 guns machining WAS a work of art. I have 2 Gen 1 pistols and they have been very reliable once I figured out that the JHP is no bueno in a .32. The round was designed by John Browning as a semi rimmed cartridge & it will rimlock with the shorter jhp rounds. Also, now you don't have the penetration either. You want to get the actual 7.65 Browning 73GR FMJ ammo. The American .32acp ammo is downloaded for liability purposes from JMB original loading.
I had KT Chrome my 2 pistols and that and the right ammo and I've never had a problem. I've used the pocket clips and I quickly went back to a front pocket carry with a Uncle Mike's #1 Holster that fits perfectly.
IMO, Folks went to the ******, hard recoiling .380 because bigger is always better in this country. If you look at the stats the 7.65/.32 has a very good 1 shot kill rating. BTW, S&B has the highest velocity 7.65 Browning Ammo, followed by Fiocchi and GECO.

I shot one last week. Hit a steel gong at 30 feet two out of four.
Hadn't figured out where to hold then.

After I did I shot a silhouette target at 50 feet and hit it
somewhere every time. Hand size to hand size plus groups.
My younger son was at the range with me. He shot it on the
silhouette as well and did about the same as I did.

I hadn't shot a .32 that small before.

I bought my first P32 back in 2000 and have nothing but good things to say about it. Since 2000 I have purchased several more, although friends have relieved me of a few over the years. I have three at present, and was carrying one today as back up gun while serving warrants.

All of my P32's have the pocket clip, and as mentioned above it looks like you're carrying a pocket knife. I carry Silvertips, and have yet to have a malfunction. It may simply be luck, but my P32's have yet to meet ammo they don't like. The P32 was meant as a close range pistol, but it is more accurate than you would expect. If I take my time I can hit the bowling pins at 25 yards. I can't imagine not having a P32.

For the .32 ACP rimlock, there's a DIY that uses a wire
up the back wall of the mag. If you search for "flyer wire",
it should come up.

That's good to know. I always knew the euro ammo was loaded hotter than american made ammo. I'll try to stock up on S&B. I've used their stuff before and really like it.

I owned one very briefly twenty or so years ago. It worked fine, but fit my hand so poorly that I couldn't shoot it accurately no matter how I changed my grip.. I decided to stick with a .38 Special J-frame. Didn't really want to go below that power level anyway.

The P-32 was a nice little pistol, but not for me.

I have a P-32 that I slip in my front pocket of my dress slacks when I stop on my way home from work to pick up groceries, etc. It's lightweight and easy to carry. I've had this one for about fifteen years. I actually don't remember what year I bought it.

I carried mine in my front pocket everyday for 10 years. easiest carry gun I ever carried;although IMHO a severely under powered carry round, it is better than a rock and it fit the bill for what I needed at the time.

I started a thread here awhile ago about my "most indispensable" gun, my Kel-Tec .380. It's not what I carry the most, but I don't have anything that can go where it goes.
I wouldn't sweat a .32 instead, just not interested in another caliber in the cabinet.

I'm really in love with the North American Arms Guardian but they're hard to find. Even at Bud's....

I had a Berretta Tomcat 32 and a Kel-Tec 32 with right hand belt clip. I decided I only needed one pocket 32 and the Tomcat shot better. I traded the Kel-Tec 32 to my best friend, who is left handed. I figured he would swap for a left handed belt clip. Nope! If he wants to carry left he holsters it. But mostly it fills the BUG role and is carried right rear with the clip.

I had a 2 pound coffee can full of GECO 32 ACP FMJ that had been carry ammo for German Police, this was turned in when the nation went mandatory 9mm for Police. It was great in the PPk, PPk/S and the Tomcat. The Kel-Tec didn't like the snappier slide movement and wouldn't always pick up the next round!

KelTec sells a magazine filler for the .32 mags, so you won't get rimlock: rimlock is rare, but will get you have to disassemble the mag to clear & if you are like me, you might only have the one mag on ya. I would switch to a CorBon JHP. It will run at 7.65 Browning velocity. John Browning designed that round hot. European Police all over the Continent put bad guys in the ground for like 70 years with the real .32acp. I don't know about the American .32acp, but I do know that when I shoot any .32acp like Winchester or Remington, it feels really low power, even compared to the Fiocchi & the Sellier & Bellot is even hotter. My German Walther PPK runs like a top on that stuff. It won't run at all on American .32acp Ball.
It's kinda like the real 9mm was a hotter 123gr round. The NATO 9mm 124gr Ball is now loaded to +p power level compared to normal power American 9mm. George Luger designed a hot round in order to cycle the Luger, but I digress.

Interesting, my 2 guns shoot the hotter stuff 100%, but I have never gotten my hands on bona fide German GECO. I always heard that German GECO was super hot. The GECO that we get now is made in Hungary I think. I shot a box and it didn't feel quite as hot as the S&B. It felt like Fiocchi to me. The CorBon JHP felt the hottest that I have ever shot and was the only HP Ammo that my PPK liked. I stick with FMJ in smaller calibers, except short barreled .22LR because the HP doesn't expand and acts as a solid anyway.

I had a Tomcat 32 and really liked it. My thing with it was it was too thick to carry comfortably. You see? I live in south texas where it's 95°f plus 9 months out of the year and the Tomcat felt nice in the hand, shot very well and was more accurate than one would think. it was kinda thick & heavy for pocket carry wearing shorts all the time. My Bodyguard 380 wasn't very confident inspiring with it's occasional light strikes. I hope my new Kel Tec P32 fills the role.

For HP ammo in everything but 45 ACP (and even then) I use Winchester Silver Tip Hollow Point. They feed in every finicky gun I've owned. In 445 I also like Federal Hydra-Shok 230 grain, They had the same impact point as 230 Ball in nine 19ll's, two Star PD's, and two S&W Revolvers I did or do have! STHP projectiles are engineered for the specific cartridge they are used in. 45 ACP Hydra-Shok just does everything I want (the FBI thinks it needs more penetration, I think 14" is fine for my defense!)

The Blue older Tomcat is noticeably thinner than the newer stainless models. I have a very nice Galco fitted ankle holster it rides in when I'm in a suit! For ammo In summer, all STHP. In Winter, Winchester Ball alternating with STHP. Either way, holds fist sized groups from the waist at 10 feet, One Minute of Bad GUY!

I disliked the one I had for a number of reasons, mostly trigger and width. The P-32 is a better design IMO. I'm no Kel-tec fanboy, but the 32 and the 38 are both good guns overall.

I bought one back in 2012 and like it pretty well. It’s fun icky with some 32 HP ammo but I keep FMJs in it anyway as I prefer penetration to expansion in a caliber that small. With FMJ its ran without a hiccup.

My .32 is now about 7 years old bought it new the first day it had a issuse with the magazine not locking all the way in.My L G S said take to the plant in Cocoa. I did got their around 3:30 same day . Rang door bell at plant per their instructions. Guy comes out takes firearm in tells me to have a seat in waiting room. Comes back out in 30 minutes he has a heart felt appolagy. Said he installed new realise for magazine and updated trigger. Also he said they ran 100 rounds threw it. Never ever an issuse again. I also have their 9mm, and . 380 bolth no issuses ever many thousands threw them.

Loved my P32. Never had any issues and even put a laser on it. I just have big hands so after a few years of ownership I sold it and got a S&W 642. Wish I still had the P32!

My wife and I bought this one (for her) at a local gun show years ago.

I like it. She likes it and carries it every day.

My EDC is a 642. lol. I got the P32 because well, I've always wanted one. I'm attracted to small little pocket guns and finally. I needed a small lightweight pistol for walking down the hiking/bicycle trails out here.


I finally picked it up this morning at my LGS. Order Sunday, delivered on Wednesday. Bud's is awesome in that regard! I immediately ran 50 rounds of 73gr S&B FMJ's and a dozen each of Hornady Custom 60gr XTP's and Speer 60gr Gold Dots. Not a single failure of any kind. Definitely not a target pistol. But more than good enough for up close N' dirty within 5 yards. The texturing on the grip is course enough, and the recoil IMO is not snappy. In fact i was surprised how light the recoil felt considering the thing loaded with 7 rounds is unnoticeable in my cargo shorts.

I took it home, broke it down and gave it a cleaning. I'm going to order the clip for it and also upgrade to the steel recoil guide rod they have as an option. Mine came from the factory with a polymer guide rod. Not a fan of plastic parts. But the pistol functioned perfectly... I like it..

Glad you got it . For a pocket gun I shoot the .32 very well . And agree the recoil is very light.The rounds are a bit pricey here is only issue

The P32 is unusual in being a locked breech gun in 32ACP. This explains the light recoil. The only other two guns in 32 I can recall like that are the Star SI and the Taurus PT132.

You can't say that 'so and so' has great service or that they have lousy service any more. Things change too fast. It's a surprise to me that you had a hard time with Kel tec service, when a few years ago I had great experience with them and it was a major key to their success.

For what it's worth. Our outdoor shop & gun range rents out guns/rifles and up on the rack is a Kel Tec P3-AT. It was taken in used 4 yrs ago and in all honesty, this shop usually cleans/lubes their firearms when they're taken in the back shop for repair. This thing has a light layer of rust on the barrel & slide, dust & black grime all over the inside yet...people would on occasion rent the thing & it still functions beautifully. It hasn't malfunctioned! if that isn't a true testament to the design of a firearm then I don't know what is...I've seen more Ruger mk III's & Victory 22's go back to the shop than these kel Tec's. lol.

My local Ace Hardware store has 50 round boxes of Aguila 71gr FMJ .32 acp for $16 bux a box. obviously I stocked up

I have the P32 and P3-AT. Like them both. But, the .32 is my favorite. They both eat hollow points with zero issues
