Question Sig 220 PR-45-DB

Sportsmans has a sale on Sig 220, desert tan frame and black slide in 45 ACP. With my credit card points and gift cards I'd be looking at $569 out the door. When they were in stock it would have been around $1,150 including transfer from Bud's Guns.

I've only got one Sig handgun, an M11A1 which I like very much (first Sig firearm). I do however have a S&W M645 and a CZ-97B which are also DA/SA pistols chambered in 45acp so this Sig would be in good company. My gut says do it, do it one! What do you all think?

Your life will not be complete until you push the buy button. Go spend. Shoot. Enjoy.

Contrary to what their website shows, (in stock and available for purchase) the clerk told me all six pistols they had sold out within 30 minutes of the store opening, YESTERDAY!

They have the usual disclaimer about "availability ", "photo may not represent actual item", etc., but apparently they can't manage to update their website 30+ hours after something is sold out. Emailed Customer Service and expressed my disappointment but I'd say this is another one that got away.

Man that bites. I hate missing out on good deals. Sometimes they come back around though.

BTW my P220 is just crazy accurate. I'm talking small groups at 50 yards if I practice a little first. I've seen a lot of eyes bug out when they see how that gun shoots.

I dont like mine. Ive never been able to adjust to the DA/SA trigger.
I guess I could keep it in SA but then I would rather shoot my 1911’s then.

Its out of my rotation now. I purchased Mine used years ago at more than what is advertised.

If the opportunity presents itself again, buy it. I own two 220’s. A Da/Sa and a SAO, typical Sig quality, dependability and accuracy. At that price I would not hesitate if I wanted it.

I'm not a "Desert Tan" kind of guy, but I did see that Sig is blowing out a number of their discontinued all-metal guns at bargain basement closeout prices. I'm following this closely as I am in the market for a Sig P227, preferably the P227 SAS model (also known as their P227 Gen 2 Carry) but I could go for a full-size P227 or a P227 Gen 1 Carry as well at the right price.

The deals are out there. You just have to find them. Might not be as good a price as the one you first found, but keep looking. The fat lady hasn't sung just yet!

I hear you. When Gander Mountain was closing the store here in Roanoke I kept stopping in every other day and or every day as the actual closing date got closer just to check on different items.

I ended up getting my Sig M11A1 for $601 OTD, (sales tax, background check fee included). Pretty sure the cheapest you can get one thru some place like Bud's Guns is $950 cash + shipping and transfer so I still think it was a very good deal.
