Wow!!
Whats the history of that one? Looks like it was kept in a sock drawer all it's life!
edit to add: Although I've certainly heard of Merwin Hulbert, but I didn't know anything about the company. Quite an interesting history!

iby, where ever did you find such a rare revolver in such excellent condition?! Lordy, it's beautiful! And in its' original box, no less! At one time, I owned a 3rd Model Pocket Army & a 5-shot pocket revolver with a trigger guard. They were such fun to take to a CAS match & watch people's mouths drop open when I twisted the barrel, pulled forward, & had the spent cartridges fall out. Always wanted a 4th model PA, but IIRC I only ran across two & both were upwards of $5M bucks! YOW!

I know you'll enjoy a real pride of ownership!

Remember the company a few years ago that was going to make new ones? Did anyone ever get their deposits back?

the machining is certainly on par with any gun of the period but I have read that the metal is fragile.(Dave Chicoine)

I've handled two Merwins in my day. An open top in 44-40 and a pocket model in 32 S&W with the folding hammer and extra barrel numbered to the gun. They are works of art and the machining, fit and finish is unbelievable. Would love to own one someday.

It's hard to believe that Merwins were made by Hopkins and Allen!
