Winchester 1886 Original
I don't usually watch a H45 vid start to finish, never actually, but I couldn't stop coveting that rifle. NICE Score. Any photos, stories, uses, or insights on Winchesters of that era are always welcome and enjoyed.

I am the owner of two Winchester 1886 rifles. One is a .45-90 rifle that I shoot regularly (although brass is rare and difficult to find, and I load it tenderly to preserve it for future enjoyment). The other is a take-down model in .33 Winchester (another challenge for ammo and components). Great fun at the range! Big medicine for big critters!
Moderate loads with cast bullets, I expect both to be keeping on long after I've stopped keeping on. Grandkids can argue over who gets what!

All I know is that I want one. I have a modern made 1886 in .45-70 and love it.

I've had a 1887 vintage Winchester Model 1886 here for many years. It's chambered for .45-90 and shoots a treat.
A best attempt at a steely-eyed look. Probably was disgust as I think it was on this hunt that I missed a turkey with the rifle. Deer and turkey have been taken with it. Rifle looks the same today but the hair has gone all gray. Why is that?

Great rifles. So much mechanical satisfaction working that lever.

Starline Brass has new 45-90 brass for about 90 cents a piece. I can't help on the .33.
