The view of those stocks in your photos isn’t ideal, but to me those look a lot more like the war-time, solid chocolate-brown Commando stocks than the swirly reddish-brown post-war Coltwood. Attached are three images I borrowed from the Colt Forum a while ago for reference purposes (apologies to whoever’s copyright I’m disrespecting, but it’s for a good cause

The shrinking and cracking issue only applies to the post-war Coltwood, not the war-time brown plastic; those Commando stocks have held up better than most wooden Victory stocks.
