Commander Size 10mm
An all steel Commander size 10mm for "under $800.00", attention grabbed. That DoubleTap 10mm load is uniquely interesting.

These do seem like a unique offering.
I've been thinking about getting one of these RIA 10mm Commanders for years, but recently I've been thinking a .45 Commander set up for 45 Super might do everything I need it to.

Nice item. A few days ago, I picked up my 4.25" DW cco PM-C in .45, all stainless, brushed polished, a maximally gorgeous cream puff looker. The big, capacious, commodious .45 Super cartridge case is begging me to load it with 185 grain jhps to 775 ft-lbe of m.e. But I can't, that would be bad, because that is what the smaller capacity 10mm cartridge can deliver. Oh well, anyway, the RIA all steel 4.25" 10mm 1911 sure looks so very much nicer on the eyes than the G29 that I have been packing.

I couldn't help but notice the powerful ejection on this pistol. I really like that in a 1911.

That has been my biggest complaint with the current 10mm revival is the lack of "every day" options.
Don't get me wrong, I carry my glock 17L daily, but I live in the country and spend 75% of my time on my own land. When it comes to travel off the homestead, I step it down to a 3" 686 or glock 26, and I have felt like the 10mm 1911 guys have been losing out on those carry options. I hope this pistol sells well.

I have the standard sized RIA 10mm 1911. Great shooting gun, very reliable.

Just not an RIA fan, although they have a great following especially amongst the 1911 boys and get great reviews.

The 10mm is an incredibly versatile cartridge and possess the perfect ratio of cartridge diameter and length to make it insanely reliable. My Colt Delta Elite Stainless will feed magazines full of empties. My 45 ACP 1911's cannot. The 10mm is the 357 Magnum of the semi-auto pistol world. It's a shame that it does not get the appreciation that it truly deserves.
I do like the way that Dan Wesson, Kimber, and Rock Island (as well as some others) chose to use a ramped barrel that gives a bit more support in the case head region. 10mm brass tends to have thick and strong case heads, but there is nothing wrong with giving them a little more support. I think the Rock Island 1911's are a good value and put owning a 1911 into the financial reach of a great many people.
