5 visitors at the house this weekend

All long guns this time and none are S&W. I'll post pictures as soon as I'm able but, here's what I got.

1. A VERY old Browning SA 22 (made in Belgium and has the dove tailed receiver so, it's one of the earliest models)......I'll have to try and find out what year it was made.
Found the date on this one........1957. I also found out that prior to 1956, they didn't even have serial numbers.
2. A Ruger 44 magnum carbine.
3. An Ithaca model 37 featherlight 20 ga. pump shotgun. Oh......and yes, it's a slam fire.
4. A break barrel 20 ga. shotgun (not sure what brand yet).
5. A break barrel 410 shotgun (not sure what brand yet either).

Every one of these guns are probably as old or older than me and have been sitting for quite a few years so, I'm going to take my time and do a thorough cleaning on each one.

Ok.......the break barrel 20 ga. is a Stevens Model 94 made by Savage Arms.

The break barrel 410 is made by Connecticut Valley Arms which is located in Norcross GA but, the gun was made in Italy.

The one odd thing about this gun (at least it's odd to me) is that when you break it open, it folds completely. There's even a cut out in the fore grip that the trigger guard fits into.

The fold over shotguns have been imported by a few different companies at various times. I used to have one in 20 gauge from Garcia Corp. They are handy little guns, easy to store when folded. The older ones I have seen were made in Italy, not sure by who. There is a current line of this style under the Hatfield brand name though I believe they are made in Turkey now. The local Walmart has them in 12, 20 and 410 for $99

I recall those!
I believe it was Beretta. Early ones were imported as "Vittoria" or maybe "Victory" and later Beretta called the folding shotguns "Companion."

I had a Browning like yours, 22 short, had 356 on the butt plate, I sold it. No other numbers on it

Well, I finally got around to working on the last gun (the break barrel 20 gauge) and discovered that the firing pin is broken. Fortunately, I was able to find a replacement online for $16.

THAT .410 GA IS A GREAT GUN TO PACK IN A SURVIVAL BAG. ITALIANS MAKE GREAT SHOTGUNS, AND THEY FAVOR CARRYING THEM IN THE WOODS. THERE HAVE BEEN GREAT DEVELOPMENTS IN AMMO, SO THAT GUN WILL BE VERY VERSATILE.....

IMHO, EACH OF THE GUNS ARE VERY DESIRABLE, AND THE ENTIRE PACKAGE IS QUITE A SCORE. CONGRATULATIONS ! ! !
