Default Taurus G2C 9mm

I don't know anything about the gun but Combat Armory has them for $179 shipped. I bought a Shield 9mm from them and it was a good transaction.

It is the new version of the PT111 G2, which is likely the best auto Taurus has made. I've had two, and both were incredibly reliable no matter what ammo I fed them. In fact, I used one as my CCW for several months when the G26 I bought proved to be completely unreliable.

I gave the others away to friends/family and replaced them with a G2C but haven't fired it yet. There are very minor differences from the old design, and I'm confident it will be another outstanding gun.

The one thing that throws people off is it is a single action only gun. It has a long, very light take-up before the trigger engages for a crisp SA pull. It's no 1911, but it's miles better than any Glock trigger, and you can get a aftermarket trigger that converts it to true SAO (no take-up) that you would carry cocked and locked! Conversely, you can do what I did and pull the SA sear and convert the gun to DAO. So mine now has a fairly light DAO trigger. It's pretty cool that one gun can be DAO or SAO if you are willing to tweak it.

BTW, they are very small - I carried my last one in a Remora built for a S&W Shield. It's the tiniest bit wider than a Shield but holds 12 in the mag.

That's not entirely correct. Yes, it's a SAO pistol but, the reason it has such a long take up is, it has 2nd strike capability.
The initial take up with it cocked is very light but, once you hit the wall, the break is crisp and short. If the round fires and the action cycles, the reset is also short and audible. If for some reason the round doesn't fire, you can let the trigger all the way out to pull for a 2nd strike. In this case you will notice the pull is heavier but, not by much.
I actually had my eye on and intended to buy a 2.0 compact, mainly for the extra capacity over my Shield. However, my LGS had a G2C for $199 and I decided for the price difference, I could live with a 12+1 round capacity.
So far, I have no complaints. It fits my hand extremely well and being only slightly thicker than my Shield, (length and height are almost identical to the Shield) still very easy to carry concealed.
Also notable is, I've never had to use the 2nd strike with any of the ammo I've tried so far.
