I don’t own a P320, but have had five P250’s, the hammer fired DAO pistol that shares barrels/magazines/grip modules with the striker fired P320. I still have a compact 9mm and sub compacts in 9mm and .40 S&W.

I have shot a few P320 pistols prior to the voluntary upgrade due to accidental discharges when the guns were dropped. They had great triggers. I fired two of the same guns after the upgrades and the triggers were O.K. Make sure the gun your son is considering has had the issue corrected.

I like the modularity of the P250/320 series. These guns are easy to field strip for cleaning or to install the components in other grip modules. My compact nine and sub compact .40 are now in FDE modules, and I have a black sc module in medium width with a rail as well.

I would love to have a compact in .357 Sig.

The sub compact grip is short for someone with large hands. The 15 round compact mags and a X adapter can be used in the sub compact or the new Pachmayr extended base plates for the sc mags can be used.

The price sounds fine . I have one and liked it . I decided I wanted a 357 sig in a compact . Soooo , I ordered the " Xchange kit " from Sig and now I have a compact 357 sig . NO FFL is required for the change out . I can down load it to 9mm or up load it to 357 sig . The cartridge itself is NOT difficult to reload . I bought 1000 " once " fired cases . The gun is very accurate . I have a friend , " 35yr LEO and still working " that really enjoys shooting it . He loves the trigger and accuracy . Hope this helps , Regards, Paul

They are in high demand and it's a great price, but your son needs to figure out if he needs/wants and gets along with it. If not it would be easy to sell it for more.

Isn't this the new Army gun? Dallas PD found them unsafe and doesn't authorize them.

I know they're doing an upgrade, but I'd wait awhile and see if they really fix it right.

Does it have a manual safety? The problems were with these. But Sig has fixed the problem and if the gun in question has not been repaired they will do it for nothing. The Sig 320 is a great shooter! I have a 320 RX. It will outshoot my Glock 19. For that price I would be all over it!

$380...for that price alone, buy it. I paid $500 used, no safety (with an added IWB holster and 3 or 4 mags). I put on steel mag extensions (Obsidian Arms) to help with the grip. They are not cheap, but with such an added aid it makes shooting it easy/fun. Also sent it back to Sig for the free upgraded trigger. Goes bang every time and very accurate with that sub compact barrel. No complaints from my little 320. Adjust the price for less mags, etc.
