Does anyone know what this is? Italian? Junk? The description says blank pistol?

Looks like an S&W American, but is prob. a replica that fires blanks. May not be real steel. Note the poor sideplate fit.

Are there any stamps on it? Top or bottom of the barrel, inside the yoke cutout, maybe behind the grips that give a serial number or a manufacture name or anything like that?
