I decided to upgrade my old 10/22. So I installed a 16.5" Kidd barrel and sent off my trigger group to Brimstone to get their tier 2 trigger job done. When I got it back, I went ahead and did my first bedding job.

Finally got a chance to take it out and I couldn't be happier with it at 50 yards Hoping to try my hand at rabbit hunting in the future.

Looking good Dogfish. This past June while I was up in NH, I picked up a new Ruger 10-22 rifle with the full length "International" Mannlicher walnut stock.

Nice rifle, but the trigger had to go, so I put one of the factory BX triggers in, and that made a considerable difference in pull quality. Right now it wears a cheap Simmons .22 scope I had laying around that is suprisingly clear and sharp.

Since PA legalized semi-auto .22's for hunting last year, this rifle will have small game in its future.

Looks nice and I especially like the stock. Never saw so many configurations that one can do with a 10/22. Yours looks tastefully done. Wish I still had mine but got stolen unfortunately. Found out it was made in 1966 according to serial no.

I have really had good luck with the Kidd products - they may be a bit more expensive, but they always have done what they promised to do in my experience.

I put the Ruger BX trigger in mine. It shoots a lot straighter than I can hold.

For awhile I was debating between Brimstone or buying the BX trigger. I read so many good reviews about Brimstone's work that it won out. The note they sent along with the trigger group said that it was breaking at a clean 2.2 lbs, and I believe them. Money well spent in my experience.

All in all, I had a lot of fun with this little project.

As Townsend Whelen said, "only accurate rifles are interesting," and yours looks very interesting. Nice job.

I customized my 10/22. I took the extra magazine, installed a 77/22 on top of it, sold the leftover parts, and have been happy ever since. No offense to those that run a custom 10/22, they are popular and fun, just not my choice. I like my 22 to operate the same as the centerfire rifles I use. Better practice in my opinion. JMHO/YMMV

Nice looking 10/22 and a good shooter too. I installed a Feddersen 16.25" barrel on my conversion and it shoots very well . I also went with the Brimstone trigger upgrade only the Tier 1 . They do a pretty good job for the price.

I have also have a Brimstone Tier Two job on mine and use a Green Mountain barrel. Love it.
