Default Astra A-70

I went to the range yesterday to test some other ammo and guns and took my Astra A-70 9mm & .40 with as they had not been out for a long time.

Was taken back as to how well they shot & how well they handled! The all steel construction really tamed the .40 S&W.

When I decide to give my 3913 a little break, I think one of the Astras may take it's place! What an under-rated handgun.......

Yep. I had an A-75 in .40 not long after the .40 just came out.
Shot great, worked 100%. Back then ammo could be a bugger to find and was often expensive when you did. I sold it in order to scrape up some cash for a new 870 shotgun. Didn't have much extra cash in those days.

A friend of mine has these two Astra A-70 magazines in 9mm he's been trying to sell. If interested, send me a personal message and I'll see if he can locate them. I had them for over a year, helping my friend sell them on this forum, but gave them back to him two weeks ago.

And speaking of Astra pistols, they are well made. I have this Constable in 22LR and it is a great pistol.
