Default Steyr AUG A1

Recently bought this rifle, a change from the AR 15 A2s I already own. It’s a civilian semi auto only, 1987 built.

Very interesting concept, very easy to field strip and maintain.

Some range time

50 meters off hand

50 meters rest

I am very happy with this purchase. I’ve been intrigued by the AUG for a long time, and I can say I am not disappointed. It’s light, handy, it’s a sweet shooter and the whole concept is very interesting.

As somebody who has never had big upper body strength, I love bullpup rifles. The weight distribution is back towards your shoulder and you get a full 20" barrel in a rifle only 1.5 inches longer than an M4.

Great acquisition. I own one and share your enthusiasm for the design. They are excellent rifles and I am fan of the bull pup design. Enjoy your’s.
