Who doesn’t like an old wood and steel .22 lr rifle.
This little French semiautomatic rifle was produced in 1965 (2nd year or production) in Hendaye, French Pyrénées, near the Spanish border. I think is was quite a popular rifle in its time, it’s career spanning 30 years until 1994. Back then you bought it either from the catalogue (like Manufrance) or at the nearby hardware / fishing / hunting shop.
It was probably bought new by my best friend’s grandfather. His father then took it to Switzerland when he moved here. My best friend has zero interest in firearms, so when his dad was severely hit by several strokes, his mom gifted it to me.
The scope rings allow the use of open sights
The original silencer was never found regretfully. But I’ve got a nice Parker Hale that fits like a glove
