Remington M700 200th Anniversary Limited Edition
Picked this up today on sale at Sportsman's Warehouse. Couldn't let it go at the sale price of $879. I have no plans to shoot it.

"I have no plans to shoot it."
And somewhere an angel weeps.
What caliber is it in?

That is a beautiful looking rifle. I think it would be nice to know how it shoots.

A real beauty for sure and well worth the money. Love that wood and high gloss finish. Bit fancier than my 700 I admit but the bluing on mine is quite exceptional for a gun I paid $325 for many years back. Thanks for sharing with us. Yeah I would not shoot it either!

Haven't you heard, Remington builds a special feature into the triggers of its 700s so that even if the owner does not wish to fire the piece it sometimes fires anyway.

Beautiful rifle Cory. I'd find it hard to pull the trigger on that one too. Congrats!

Rich,
After I read your post I ran down to SW and picked one up as well. Thanks for the heads up! The salesman was grumpy when I asked to see all three he had in stock, two were still in their boxes. This was the 3rd one. Anyway, the sale is off now.

Beautiful gun and drooling over that wood. Price of finely figured English and Claro walnut has soared lately. No doubt one of the reasons for all the synthetic stocked guns today. Always took a walnut stock for granted in the 60s and 70s.

Congrats on the score. I received my certificate late last week. The site is down & I contacted customer service to get it.

Inside the box was a brief letter telling you the Remington website address for the certificate. When you go to the website & enter some basic info, it opens another page which says the time has passed to do this.
I then contacted Remington Customer Service via the Remington website & they responded & put the wheels in motion for it. I'll see if I can find the site address.

Oh......Great! Thanks. I guess I should open the envelope. But my eyes have been temporarily blinded by the gloss of the Remington finish!!
Best,
