What is your ugliest gun??
What is favorite “ugly duckling “?
It should be a functional gun which you like and shoot. My definition of "ugly" refers to condition.
4 or 5 years ago,I bought this FN Hipower from 1985 or so out of a batch that were imported after service in Israel. I asked the seller for least expensive one he had and he dug this one out and we settled on $225 if I remember correctly. It looks rough to say the least! The pics don't do it justice. It looks like it may have been dragged down a paved road behind a truck and them Parkerized....maybe more than once! But, it shoots like a dream and will feed any type of ammo I’ve tried. The accuracy is exceptional.
What is yours??

The finish on my .38/44 Heavy Duty would put a "**** under your nose" look on most faces here, but it's one of my favorites, bought for a fair price . . .
(edit: added pics and yes, I know it's loaded (with vintage Remington 158 grain round nose lead . . . ))

Mine has to be this Sig. I've cleaned it up some since this photo, but still on the rough side. But it cranks out the ammo with no problems

A Glock 19, it looks like every other Glock too. They do their job well but geezer, they are ugly. Next would be the Springfield M1A black synthetic stocked rifle, I really should buy a wood stock for it but, like the Glock, it works very well as is and I bought it to shoot, not to look at.

You mean like this? What happens when you carry an aluminum gun with a painted finish ALL THE TIME in Florida summer humidity - sometimes in a pocket, sometimes in your waistband.

Here's mine. A Model 10-5 that appears to have been painted or something. The diamond Magna grips (don't number to the gun) have been worn down to almost no checkering and "refinished" over the dirt and crud. I added the BK adapter, but I later replaced them with a set of Pachmayr Presentations, and they made it look a little better.
Locks up and shoots just fine.

As far as beat-up-but-functional, I'd say my Colt Shooting Master 357:
The majority of my other guns are in like-new cosmetic condition, but not this one. Lots of character and patina, and the barrel has been (expertly) shortened. Still shoots amazingly well.

My old Marlin model 60. Inherited from my father-in-law, where it served as his under seat truck gun for many years. From 1990-1996 served as my barn gun for varmints. However, it still shoots really well.

My Kel Tec P 11
It's old and doesn't have any appealing aesthetic points. It's put together with plastic pegs. It's got a broken firing pin as of a couple of weeks ago, but I use it a lot and will get it fixed and use it again. What I like about it is that it is small, cheap, and it does the job. Makes a great truck gun and is really easy to carry. .

My S&W Model 19-3. I suspect it was an LEO trade in. The backstrap was so rusted and pitted that there was no evidence of grooves, but after cleaning it looked like a stippled finish. More scratches, nicks, and rust spots/pits than you can count, but the insides were pristine and it shoots really well.

Model 12( around 73). the clylinder needs a week in Naval jelly. Got rust in 2 charge holes. No idea why I bought it, but well under 200.00. Got it last week. A winter project of sorts. LOL, grips are original Best part of gun), but metal discs rusted bad. But, believe it or not, the gun is sound

A functional firearm with serious aesthetics problems? Probably my Remington New Army .44 percussion revolver, manufactured August 1864 for delivery to the Union Army during the US Civil War. Practically no finish remaining but it still shoots just fine.
Really, it is so ugly that it is pretty cool!

I can't post pics but I messed up and ordered some olive colored VZ grips for my 10mm Ruger SR 1911. The combination of a stainless bead blasted finish, black controls and these olive green grips is horrible. A picture of it would cause your eyes to disintegrate anyway.

I know, I know. I just get jealous when I see those pics of the pristine blue finish on vintage Outdoorsman and Heavy Duty pistols that show up from time to time. Plus, it really is my ugliest gun . . .

My AR in 9mm w/Colt mags.
ARs are ugly to start with. That skinny mag sticking out makes it uglier.
It's a lot of fun to shoot, though!
Runner up would be my Kel-Tec P-3AT. The gun itself isn't too bad, but I wear it in a cheap UM nylon holster when I run. Even though I wipe it down afterwards, the sweat over the years has taken it's toll, especially up near the muzzle. It has an orange/rust color. I'd hate to not have one though.

Ugliest gun?? It's so hard to choose as I have any number of them.
How about "Most worn out"? (Honest wear, but still functions....)
Here's my entry for "Most mistreated"
And, finally, "Just plain ugly from birth" (I imagine the designer was slapped by the machinist that made the first one...)

My ugliest gun would be my Glock. Not bashing Glocks, just think they aren’t pleasing to the eye. Second runner up would be my professionally butchered Victory model - my dad’s off duty gun.

My great uncle's Marlin with Wichester barrel. He was quite the outdoorsman and Army cavalry veteran chasing Poncho Villa with Pershing. I inherited it from my father. I had a gun smith clean it and do some repairs. It shoots fine. I hope whomever I pass it down to, keeps it.

My 1954 Colt 357 is one ugly duck. Almost no finish left and the grips while are as ugly as the gun are actually quite comfortable. It goes to the range regularly. Mostly wadcutters but has been fed a diet of magnums through the years. Really likes cast bullets. Action is a smooth as they come and lockup is as tight as day it was new. When I rescued it from a pawn shop, it actually had spider webs in the cylinders. Action was so gummed up it took several soakings in “Reds” to get it clean. Yes, I know it doesn’t have extractor rod cap. I have one, Just haven’t put it on. Was sitting in the case and owner said to make an offer. I offered $200 and he whipped out the paperwork so quick I think he would gave taken almost anything. I’m sure he felt like he hit a homerun but I’m the one who got the bargain

It would seem that "ugliest" as defined here is a gun with some wear and tear that has seen better days.
If you want to define "ugliest" in terms of styling then that would have to be my Ruger LCR .38spl+P. with 2" barrel. But you know, it's odd styling and quirkiness has grown on me after a while so I don't really view it as ugly anymore.
However, I think the versions with the longer barrels are MUCH uglier then the snubbies.

Mine is a worn, battered Stevens 53 twelve gauge side-by-side, sawed to twenty inches. No finish left--had none when I bought it forty years ago. I suspect it's pre-WWII. It's my house SHTF gun now, but it took a ton of rabbits and doves for me. It's truly hideous. I like it a lot.

Guess it would be my M-4 clone. Compared to my other milsurps, M-1 Garand, 1917 Enfield, 1898 Springfield, it is sort of an ugly duckling.
