My New Old Colt
I picked this up today Colt 1903 32 acp made around 1928 function is very good, and as accurate as any gun made today. The fake stag grips have to go.

Great gun! I finally found one I could afford and I love it.
Congrats!
(I think those grips are actually fake jigged-bone)

I am planning on trying to find walnut checkered ones. I think based on the serial number that would be correct.

This one was $400 from a local that was as low as he would go. I don't think I got hurt, I may have even paid more than its worth now, but give it a few years...

Those grips don't look bad on your gun but I can understand your
desire for the original walnuts. My 1903 has a serial number a little
higher than yours and it has the original checkered walnut grips.

alwslate if they fit better I might have put some Colt medallions on them and call it good, but if you look around the top of the grips there is a gap.

I wondered who ended up with that.
Now you need a 1908 (380) to go with it.

I had one early in my collecting years it was a jamamatic. I sold it not realizing it was probably an easy fix live and learn.

I have a 1903 in .32acp, a 1908 in .380 and a baby 1908 in .25acp. All incredibly well built, high quality, accurate and reliable Colts!
Use it well!
PS: You can still find grips for it. Look up serial # to find out if it originally came with plastic or walnut - both are still gettable as are original Mag's.
