Added another Winchester 9422
I think Winchesters are as addictive as S&Ws. I found this one on a gun for sale board here in Iowa. It was listed at $420. Very fortunately I was the first to respond to the ad.
It is the bottom gun in the pictures. It is a 9422 Mag made in 1991. Probably 95% condition.
The other 9422s are another .22 magnum and a straight .22 Both serial to 1974. I bought the s 9422 Mag new in 1974.
The model 63 on top was my father's. He bought it new in 1959 if I remember right. It serials to 1956.
I need anothe gun safe!
Not sure why these are upside down. Sorry I don't know how to fix them.

That's a very nice collection of levers you have . I have three of the Winchester 94's one is the 9422 XTR in 22LR and the other is a 9422 WMR and an unfired 30-30 Buffalo Bill commemorative.

Nice rifles. I have a 1970's 9422m that is a keeper. These are very well made and accurate rifles. Winchester took a lot of heat when they went to the post 1964 quality standards on their rifles, and I believe the 9422 were one of the first examples Winchester made post 1964 in an effort to prove they could still make a high quality rifle. Mine is a favorite for fall turkey hunting and closer range woodchucks. They are bringing pretty good money these days with collectors and shooters. I bought mine about 10 years ago, used, but NIB with the hang tags for $500, and thought I got a good deal.

I'm a big fan of the 9422. Mine is an early XTR with the smooth non-checkered stock made in 1978. Its one of the best shooting .22s I have.
Most people don't realize that Winchester considers the 9422 to be one of their "Top Of The Line" rifles and goes to great lengths to make sure it fits that title.
Just last weekend at a gun show the guy at the table next to us had a fairly nice one for $600. It sold rather quickly. You did very well on yours.

I'm a big fan of the 9422's, but your Dad's old 63 is getting my attention in that picture. Thanks for sharing!

Nice pics. Either that 9422 magnum or the Marlin 1894 in 22 magnum would be a great addition as I have no levers. Both great guns and well sought after.

Very nice collection I don’t have any 94’s but turned one like you got down about 10 years ago. I walked out with a Marlin 39as that is now long gone, I wish I would have went with the 9422m back then. It was a stupid move but holding that 39 brought back memories of hunting squirrels with my dog as a teenager. But darn I wish I would have bought that 94, for the price they are going now I probably could have gotten 2 39a’s for it now!!

Beautiful and elegant .
I had to sell a 9422M in 1982 when the oil field fell out.
I loved that rifle.

I bought a new M9422 in about 1973. Price was right at $100. I needed some money and sold it about 1979 for $100.
Wish I still had it.

Muley Gil
That is about what I paid for my 9422M back in 1974. It was about $130 with tax. And the small shop in my hometown I bought it from was kind enough to through in a box of shells. Good thing because I doubt that I had enough money left to buy any shells.
My father had seen to it that I had an older Remington pump .22 and a Savage pump 12 gauge. The 9422M was the first gun that I bought with my own hard earned money.
I think I was making $1.65 an hour at that time. It was a hard purchase to make. But I never ever regetted the purchase. JA

The minimum wage in 1973 was $1.48. I got a job making concrete pipe that summer that paid $1.98. Woo hoo!
