We officially hate you!
And it only cost triple what a G17 costs here!
If you had a Mech Tech carbine upper, would it still work in full auto?

You crack me up.
After your latest series of fine photos detailing your classic metal firearms, I thought to myself "I wonder if any plastic firearms appeal to his discerning eye?".
It would have to be something like that one, wouldn't it?
Thanks again for sharing.

$1700 on a plastic gun, is there something really special about it, other than being made in Austria?

Ah, YUP! It's a Glock 18! Semi A/Full A capability. I shot one several times when attending Armorer School and Smyrna, and it is a hoot. Proper technique make this pistol highly effective, and fun.

Not much. Let’s say it’s a G 17 + 1, kinda enhanced one, with an interesting option.

Hey no worries, I was sure you read that too quickly. In fact I wonder if some will not even open the thread, or close it after the first three pictures, yawning.

I've fired one. They're a handful, to say the least. Very nice acquisition . . .

Very special ”happy switch” on a Glock 18... would cost 2X that in US if a transferable could be located.

Me too, at Smyrna. All the 33 round mags you cared to fill. I ran a couple through and after a little (not enough) familiarization, I could keep the bursts in the kill zone.

Seconded. Even though I spent a day in your lovely country. Geneva.
Hickok45 has a video on a G17 modified for selective fire.

I might be able to afford to feed a .22LR full auto. 9mm (while fairly cheap) would get expensive fast.

I have seen a video (it's probably not hard to find...) where a guy had a Glock 18 and he attached this silly little vertical fore-grip (terminology...?) to the tiny little tac-rail on the front of the pistol. It was a horrible idea to even put that on there.
Well, the guy in the video, almost as if you could predict what came next... he puts his off hand/left hand on this idiotic little post to "hold" the Glock 18 and he begins his irrationally fast string of automatic fire. The gripping post predictably comes OFF the tac-rail of this pistol leaving his left hand holding it, and now free of the pistol, and he proceeds to put two or three rounds of 9mm through his hand and wrist.
I'll bet there are some regrets there.
Neat pistol you got! I don't believe any "regular" citizen in the USA can own one unless it was built before March 1986. When were the very earliest G18's ever made?

I wonder how long before you have spent as much on ammo as you paid for the gun? LOL
That is awesome but I couldn't afford to shoot it very often.
