Default A Couple of Knives

Years ago I bought a couple of knives from a Gibson Products store that folded long ago. I don't know if they were anywhere other than OK. The knives were sold as fish cleaning knives.
They are well made knives with I think, teak handles. You can leave them in water and they seem to never soak up any water. The grip is not cut completely through to insert the tang and two brass fittings hold the blade with a very tight fit. They have finger grooves and a hole for a loop of some sort.
One blade is 4&1/4 inches and the other is 6&7/8. Both have a picture of a jumping fish and are marked with the words HONED on one line, HIGH CARBON STAINLESS STEEL on the next and Feather Edge on the last line. The shorter blade has serrations on the back. I have used them a lot and they show little wear. They were made in Japan.
I have always wondered if they were made special for the Gibson stores. The Gibson stores carried everything from auto parts to clothes to guns and reloading stuff. I bought many boxes of Hornady 500ea. 38Special HBWC from them. Also bought my .243 Winchester and lots of fishing stuff. Sure wish that they were still in business.
Does anyone have knives exactly like them? I don't post pictures.

No knives, but there was a Gibson's store here in Stephenville, Texas for many years and I bought a new Remington Nylon 66 (which I still have) there somewhere about 1984 or so.

There is still a Gibson's store in Weatherford, Texas that has a firearm section that rivals many dedicated gun stores.

Thanks for the little wave of nostalgia you generated this morning.
