Default Shooting with my daughter this afternoon

Me and my little girl (24 years old, still my baby girl) took the ol Bronco up the mountain with a couple 22s today. I'm so proud, she was pegging it! We shot the ol DSM 34, the k22 and the CZ 452. Too much much fun!

We started up close with the Mauser 22 and the k22 til she started to get some positive feedback. By the time we moved back to 50 yards with the CZ, she was just nailing everything and smiling! Happy Papa right here!

Great times, Beagleye, I can see how proud you are...of both the daughter and the Bronco. BTW...saw one almost exactly like that yesterday that had been restored, and looked like it had just come out of the showroom. It was gassing up next to me.

Best Regards, Les

I had a 1975 Bronco that I bought brand new and paid $4500.00 for it. Jade Green and white in color and with a 3 speed on the column. Had to sell it as my wife could not manage the three speed and heavy duty clutch. I still miss the Bronco at times, but still have the wife.

Making memories, I love to go shooting with the wife and our oldest daughter. I cherish the memories and the smiling faces when they out shoot the old guy, (me). :-)

Do it again as soon as possible.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Beagleye, you're a lucky guy!
Wish my wife would go shoot with me like that. When she was young and single, some jerk took her shooting and started her with a Ruger 30 carbine. The noise and recoil has left her gun shy ever since, and she steadfastly refuses to give it a try again, in spite of any promise I give to make the experience safe and comfortable.
Up in the woods with just a friend or two in an old vehicle you don't worry about is my idea of the best kind of shooting.

That's awesome!

Nothing like making some great memories with your kid!

Even better to show a young person today that guns are not evil and can be a great source of enjoyment.

I have a 24 YO daughter, and she has finally said she will go with me. Looking forward to it. Gotta get yours to learn to tuck that rifle butt into her shoulder. Just an observation for when she graduates to a centerfire 22

She's a good kid. She got married this year and is starting to lean towards practical things.

The best part was when she realized what you can hit with the cz 452. It's an eye opener. Thanks to all you good people for the encouragement. I hope you are all blessed too with happy days like that one.

True true! I will attend to it! I was smiling so hard, other than safety, I wasn't even paying attention. Next trip.

Yep recall those Broncos. Heard Ford is bringing them back in a couple of years. Will cost far more than $4,500 but still a nice rig.

Yes, the patina, also known as rust! It's a rust bucket. It started its' life in Minnesota. In spite of that, it's a beast. You can't beat it on a logging road. I spotted the nose of it poking out from behind a barn in the Sodom Laurel community about 20 years ago. Offered $600 and it was accepted. Someone had put smaller tires on the front end and run it on the road. The front differential was full of crumbs. Ebay plus $250 solved that. It's got the 170ci straight six. I rarely take it out of low range. You can load it down with a load of firewood that's hard to imagine and crawl out of a ravine and turn around in a wide spot on a logging road. I should probably fix her up, but I am getting too old and broke down for that kind work. I should probably cash out while it's got some life left in it. I can't drive down the road without 3 people asking to buy it. Which is crazy, cause it's a true beater.

Default Well Done

Nice Bronco, Rifle and beautiful daughter. Congrats. I have two boys 20 & 23 with my oldest getting married in May. I just sold an 81 Bronco myself, and I also live in a hollow. Never had a CZ, but they are nice. Glad to see that you are raised her right with the ability to use that CZ. Marksmanship teaches so much more than how to hit an "X". Well done.

My 21 year old son has gotten into shooting .22s with me when he's home from school.....great memories for both of us.

Can't beat a rimfire CZ for the money....... I started with a .22magnum 452FS/mannlicher in 2011 ..... now I have too many! My youngest learned on his own CZ 452 .22 Scout.

I'd say more but I might want to be on the Supreme Court some day!

Although I’m a Chevy guy I appreciate that Bronco. Also, my younger of two daughters enjoys going shooting with me. She even tried fishing with me when little, just like I did with my dad when I was young. Already told her my guns are hers when the time comes. Here she is with her first outing with a .357!

I already have quite a few pics of me and my 10 year old daughter shooting. She had to prove she was capable with a BB gun first. My 6 year old is in that zone now.

The square back Bronco - it's a classic. I came really close to buying one with limited slip front and back once. I needed something to get better gas mileage for my job though. I still wish I had bought that truck.

My daughter is an amazing shooter. She can go a year between shooting times and still shoot very nearly as well as I can and I shoot pretty good. She saw where the US woman won the .22 shooting gold medal in the Olympics and she knew right away she could shoot better. She's that good. I got on her for months to try to do it but she has a job making a lot of money and she didn't want to take time to practice like she should. I still think she should do it. I may call her again today and ask her about it again. I don't care what rifle she picks up she shoots it better than 99% of the people around and that's without practicing.

We had more girls than guys on the High School Rifle team by about 3 to 1 we took WPIAL's in my Senior year. and second in State (Pa.)

Still had a few in College but most struggled with off-hand.
