I believe that it does use 209 primers, it could also use the Musket #11 primers if the breach block was the right one. It could be updated to the red extreme setup for about $50.

Default A GREAT RIFLE IMO.

Knight cut no corners (at first anyways) with this one! A long green mtn barrel, Timmney trigger,(senior moment) Kevlar, (NOT HOLLOW PLASTIC) stock, I can't recall if the thick Pachy white line recoil pad came with it or not. mine is in stainless. The discs are easy to see/remove, cheap & can be re-used multiple times. The double safety may bother some, but sure is secure & you should know how your weapon works, right? A bit big/heavy but accurate & a joy to shoot. When you only have 1 shot, make it count. The only thing I changed was for a hotter ignition plug (as if the *209* PRIMER weren't enough)

I have the "Regular" MK 85 from two years before the "Disc" system came out. A close friend talked me into it when he clover leafed 3 sabot bullets at 200 yards! We both had 6.5-20 Leupold scopes for varmint hunting on ours. and much small scopes for deer season.

I also had the 22 rimfire conversion kit, which got Knight in hot water with the ATF. Not many were made. As a single shot 22 it looks funny, but I won a few informal matches against Win 52's and Anschutz 64's (never once beat a Anschutz 54!)

Used muzzle loaders are very hard to value! Condition is everything! IN exultant condition, if you have the money buy it!

Friends don't let friends shoot Pyrodex! Use real Black Powder, the shot to shot consistency is much better! And clean up takes about the same amount of time!

Ivan
