Added another Browning Hi Power
This is my 4th. I recently talked myself out of two in excellent condition that were priced right then this one came along and I lost my willpower. I had to refinish the grips because they were badly scuffed on the smooth edges but the checkered portions were fine. They turned out good and the red backs don't reveal my intervention. It's a shooter from 1980 that I recently put 200 trouble free rounds through and is very accurate. This is my only one with the "beer can" sights. Of my 4 this one has the best slide to frame fit including one that is NIB. Thanks for looking.

Congrats on your fourth HP, I have 5 and am always looking for another. I guess I'm an old fogey, I prefer the thumb print slide and internal extractor but I do have one that has neither, the 7.65mm Luger version which isn't of the earlier era. To me, the adjustable sight versions always looked like they were an afterthought. I was of the opinion that they could have done the pistol better.

Only have 2 MarkIIIs one matt and one blue.......really liked the look of the old 70-80s conversions with S&W adjustable rear sights melted into the slide.

I agree. I prefer the fixed sights on these. They sit much lower and look better.

I have one that I bought new in 1977 and a MKIII that I bought used
but in new condition at an estate auction. Both have the fixed sights which
I prefer. My 1977 model has been fired more than all of my other 9mms
put together but has never had a single malfunction that wasn't caused by crummy ammo. I have always wanted to add a ring hammer version
but they tend to be pricey, maybe some day. The BHP surely is one of
the best autos of all time.

Good on ya, mate.
I've got a couple: a MK II from '82, Mk III Standard and a Mk III Practical. (The older one was a wreck of a surplus from CDI. Had a good smith here in Seattle area completely redo it then duracoat. It's a beauty with a 2lb trigger!)
I'm always on the lookout for one...but am thinking of maybe two "clones" one an FEG and the other an Arcus. HPs are getting pricey and if I can find a decent stand-in I may go for one.

Pretty hard not to like a BHP.
The only thing I don't like about the BHP is the fact that FN Browning has discontinued production of the pistol.
Rumors are they are trying to find ways to build them at a more competitive price point, but I am not sure they will ever see the light of day.
That said, with minor modifications, the Tisas Regent BR9 pistol is getting good reviews.
This company worked it over, and found everything wrong and what needed to be done to make it into a real FN BHP clone. Surprisingly, not too much. Little things, mostly.

I have ALWAYS loved the BHP.
For me it is too big to routinely carry plus I prefer to carry double action guns but it is still one of the favorites in my gun stable. That Kareen replica ain't bad, neither!

My BHP is a c.1980 model, came to me used, like new. Believe it had previously been a 'beer can adjustable sight' model and someone had replaced the rear with a Millett adjustable. Great shooter.
Ever finding excuses to fill an invented niche, some months ago picked up a FEG clone as a stand-in beater. It also is a winner and I'll not flinch about it getting roughed up any...
