My "favorite" is a 3.75" barreled Ruger SBH in .44 mag. I just love shooting this gun. Next favorite is my DW 15-2 .357 mag that I purchased new in 1978. Last is my 7.5" Ruger SRH in .44 mag. Actually, these are the only non-S&W revolvers that I have.

The only non S&W revolver I have, so I guess it has to be my favorite....

Italian Ordnance revolver, .44 caliber, made in 1915.
The red arrow points to a thumb screw which allows the side plate to come off, which becomes a tool to remove the mainspring, which allows the internal parts to be removed and thoroughly cleaned without the need for tools.
I like the folding trigger!
I reload for it using home cast bullets, shortened .44 Russian brass, and Trail Boss powder.

I haven't got many revolvers left that aren't S&W. I
guess my favorite non S&W is a 3screw Ruger SBH that I've had since 1960s, got new. Other than that I
have two old Ruger Single-6s and a Colt New Service

If you take the word of random strangers, then just about everything is junk because there will always be tales from a guy who heard from a guy who had a friend who had a nondescript negative experience with something at some point in time.
Honestly, I only really got into firearms 3 years ago, but in that time I have heard folks bad-mouthing just about every firearms manufacturer I've ever heard of and some I haven't.
Heck, even the major firearms manufacturers who are renowned for their quality/craftsmanship "Ain't what they used to be" according to many folks online.
Thankfully, I learned almost immediately to ignore such hearsay because right out the gate I was told that the first firearm I bought, (a Walther PPK/S) was jam-o-matic junk which would eventually break, and how it was simultaneously an obsolete design yet not as good as those which were manufactured before it. That's how you know you're dealing with someone who has an honest/trustworthy opinion, when they feel the need to denigrate both the firearm in general and the specific model you own in rapid succession.

It's gotta be this one...a Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt. I'm not exactly sure as to the date I bought it new, but judging from the serial number, it's around 30 years old by now. It's gone on just about every pack trip I've taken with the pack string during that time.
We were in heavily populated black bear country, so I loaded it pretty stout and never felt under gunned. A good, trusty companion.

WHOOPS! I forgot my very favorite non=S&W.
My 1911 Colt's Series 80 Gold Cup. On the left below.
With it's favorite rig, Red Nichols Brill Persons holster & Ranger belt.
(2nd from left)
3rd from left in a beautiful carved Heiser #728.
4th from left David Keith's Brill style and Ranger belt.
5th from left probably gets the most wear. It's a DeSantis HRT
(Hostage Rescue Team)
SORRY FOR THE SENILE MOMENT....I KNOW THE GOLD
CUP IS NOT A REVOLVER....WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS....

Each of my guns fills a niche; no honest duplicates and no safe queens. If it doesn't get shot it moves along without becoming a favorite.
My birthyear Colt Officers Match in .38 special. I made the grips; the originals are in storage...
My woods packer is a customized Ruger Vaquero in .44 special...

My woods walker is a customized Ruger Vaquero in .44 special...
I've owned a bunch of Colt Pythons...literally shot one to death in the '80s while winning IHMSA titles ... but the keeper is this one wearing '80s vintage Russwood (Russ Maloni) grips
For launching 300gr bullets at steel, cinder blocks or deer I have a customized Ruger SBH in .44mag...
My favorite .44 range plinker is this customized '57 Ruger flat top. It needed a refurbish so I went whole-hog. Since the refinish it's fired a couple thousand rounds without a hint of a turn line...

This modified Colt Official Police came with the Ropers on it, it shoots very well.
I’m a sucker for little .32’s.
And big .32’s.
My Ruger .41 Magnum Blackhawk.

Ha! I had to think - do I actually own any? Then I remembered.....
Of course, I do have a Forum album to assist my memory.....these two older Vaqueros were my main match cowboy action guns.

I don't know that I have a favorite non S&W, though out of my collection, I'd say my 107 year old Colt Officer's Model Target, and 1966 vintage Colt Trooper 357 come in at a close second to my 1956 5" Pre-Model 27 in my revolver lineup. Maybe third behind my 1948 K22 Masterpiece....
Bottom of the list however: JC Higgins Model 88 (High Standard Sentinel R101). Its good for a 22 revolver, but not even in the same league as my S&Ws or Colts.

The Colt Magnum Carry also gets a nod for one of the best non Smith revolvers ever made, mine sports a set of Herretts when its not wearing the factory Hogues.

YOU'LL GET NOTHING BUT SUPPORT AND ADMIRATION FROM THIS LONG TIME COLT DA REVOLVER LOVER. I OWNED AND SHOT COLTS EXCLUSIVELY FOR OVER 3 DECADES......
THE 4" DIAMONDBACK IN .22 LR, AND THE 2" IN DB IN .38 SPL ARE 2 OF MY FAVORITES.....
YOUR REVOLVERS ARE BEAUTIFUL ! ! !

Haven't owned a revolver in 14 years when I gave up on carrying my nickel plated Chiefs airweight as my in the pocket carry gun.
Been carrying compact autos ever since. Owned many revolvers in my day my first on the Chicago Police Department was a Colt Python I paid $148 for brand new. Eventually got rid of it, never liked the grips, and got a couple of S&W .38 Combat Mastepieces, wow, loved those pistols, balanced and accurate.
The last one I had I sold when I moved to Arizona in 2002, it was a stainless Combat Masterpiece, one of the first, probably a collectors model now, in that is was completely stainless, including the front and rear sights.

I change my mind on this subject about as often as I change my socks but today my favorite is this short barreled 44 magnum Bisley. Surprisingly, it is more comfortable to shoot than its 4 5/8 brother with standard grips and it is quite accurate.

No real need to post pics, but I'm really enjoying my Charter Bulldog and 9mm Pitbull. There's just something to them and I really enjoy shooting them.
